"There are pros and cons to this hotel but the pros easily outweigh the cons. I believe they updated the page or Expedia did, to show that they take a $250 deposit/hold for any stay over 6 nights that’s the main con, since every other place I’ve stayed in SD co takes $50, $100 (or in the case of 2 in Escondido, 1 in Fallbrook and 1 in El Cajon, no deposit at all so it’s more than 2x the $100 that most places hold). The rooms are a bit dated but for the price in San Diego, this place is hard to beat. Only other issue is I’m 5’4, but I had to duck to get under the shower head. The staff is friendly. Basic rooms don’t have a microwave but they let you use the one in the lobby from 6am to 10pm and the toasters too. The pool and spa are really nice here and they also have a pretty courtyard with a pond and fountain. The pool and spa were usable every day except for 1 in my 7 night stay. Everything is super clean. One of the cleanest affordable hotels I’ve stayed in. The area is very walkable, with various restaurants and shopping you can walk to in under 2 miles from the property. "

"Room carpet smelled like urine, stairwells dirty, pool dirty, requested clean towels 3 times they were never delivered. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. This hotel did not feel clean or safe. "

"Spent one night at this hotel and forgot to lock my car door for one hour while unloading and noticed all my belongings in my car were gone when I returned. The amount of time it took for the thieves to take my belongings seems calculated and I'm sure I was being watched. This hotel needs to monitor there parking lots more often. Especially since it's a free lot and anyone can park there for any amount of time. I will not be filing a police report since the items that were stolen were only valuable to me. But I am terrified of (and probably won't be)staying at this location again knowing there is No parking security. If anyone stays at this location. LOCK YOUR CARS. AND DOUBLE BOLT YOUR HOTEL ROOM DOOR! "
