"Clean rooms"

"The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a problem with one of the elevators, so there was a little longer wait at times, but it was fixed in a couple of days. Breakfast fare was the usual that one finds in most hotels of this class."

"The deadbolt on the door failed to work and the maintenance guys came in while we were out and " fixed" the deadbolt, they subsequently then, left our room door wide open all day. No communication from the staff of mangers. The room smelled of stale cigarettes and weed, the sheets were all stained and ripped. I get its a 2 star hotel but cleanliness and communication are priority in any hotel stay. Every evening our key had to be reprogrammed due to the ancient system! The sticky stain on the...

"Elevator super sketch."

"The only positive is that the place didn’t have bedbugs. AC didn’t work, TV channels were a mystery, shower dripped and figuratively needed a steamfitters wrench to turn off., no toiletries, no utensils. The staff was friendly, however."

"This property listed WiFi as one of the amenities. There was WiFi in my room, but it would not connect to the internet, or just kept dropping the internet. When I talked to the front desk about this, he just said that it worked on his phone just fine. In my room though, I could sometimes connect to the internet on my phone but not at all on my computer. I could not get any work done at all. Also, the floors were filthy! After walking around in the room barefoot, the bottom of my feet were Black!...

"A welcome card in the room was a nice touch. Staff were friendly, gave information on local attractions both within walking distance as well as in the city. The pool area is quiet, few peacocks. One could easily spend the entire vacation at the hotel without stirring out! I will definitely pick this place when I return to Austin."

"Pool cooled you off so well being in the ho"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Colton House! The entire property was incredibly clean, and the bed was so comfortable. We especially loved the cozy, eclectic libraries throughout the hotel, each with its own unique decor and charm. The backyard area with the coffee shop and bar was the perfect spot to kick back and relax. The staff was friendly and helpful! They brought us a fan when we requested one and were great about accommodating a late checkout. Our only minor complaint was the shower...

"Todo estaba muy bien.."

"October 2026 update: this is a nice property that's just staring to show its age. The hotel was nicely renovated maybe 5-10 years ago and they did a good job with all the finishings, nice tile, etc. However its right at that time when its scuffed up and worn out enough to need a refresher. Likely OK for maybe another year or so."
