Gorgeous Old Government Building kept up to a high standard. Old and thick walls meant quiet with little street noise. Excellent & lively pub on site. Location could not be closer to the Cathedral, trams and more. Loved it and Christchurch and can’t wait to return.

The flavor of "Gilded Age" in this historic, well preserved building. Premium location - walkable, in the middle of everything - just step outside to shopping, restaurants, and the historic tram is just below! Spacious apartment (but two levels so we had stairs), clean building, helpful staff. So glad we stayed here instead of the modern Distinction hotel next door!

Beautiful and interesting historic building to stay in, very well equipped with full kitchenette and in room laundry - perfect to relax in after two long haul flights. Excellent Hotel. Downstairs Bar and Restaurant were great. Very comfortable apartment, that is well located for all sights. Directly opposite the damaged Cathedral. Very close to the Conference Centre.
