"Excellent hotel. Very modern with everything needed. Only criticism was for the price you’d expect some bottled water in the room."

"Our room was in the newer part of the hotel, with a good size room and balcony overlooking the beach. A big bed, very firm and clean. Bathroom was a little dated and well worn, but clean. You can’t beat the location of this hotel, literally a couple of steps down from the terrace and you are on soft sandy beach with amazing views. We also used the pool, it’s small and again dated, but clean and has a lifeguard on duty during opening hours. Breakfast is a generous selection from buffet full English to continental pastries, fruit, yoghurt and the conveyor toasters! Sure to delight the kids. We also had their “pizza on the beach” cooked outside on the terrace until 5pm. There’s not a huge selection of places to eat within walking distance, so the catering here is popular and not horrendously priced. Absolutely recommend for a couple of days at the beach for families."

"The hotel was lovely and staff very welcoming. We had a cozy room, which was exactly that, small and cozy but had lovely linen, air conditioning, complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities and copious amounts of hot water. A nice addition was a small fridge. We didn’t plan to spent our days inside so it was perfect. It is a prefect base to explore the lovely town of Christchurch and local areas. There are beautiful old historic buildings to see along with a quay and art deco cinema in town, for those happy to walk a little further Hengisbury Head is about an hour on foot, The local ferry can take you across the river to Hengisbury or down to Mudeford."

Royal Bath Hotel

"We recently stayed at the Royal Bath Hotel and had a very positive experience overall. Our room (170) was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and everything we needed, including a kettle with tea and coffee, a fan ( as there is no air conditioning), an ironing board with an iron and a hairdryer. The blackout curtains were also a great feature and helped us sleep well. The hotel has a lovely old-English charm, and the main bar is wonderful. The location is definitely one of its biggest highlights, steps way from the Pier- hard to beat! During our stay, the swimming pool was unavailable, but the steam room, sauna and jacuzzi were open and enjoyable. The staff were kind and helpful, and we appreciated that they looked after our luggage before check-in and after check-out. The only disappointment, but small thing, was the full breakfast. I felt could offered a wider selection, particularly fresh fruit and few more options. Overall, we had a great stay and would happily return to this hotel."
