"My fiancé and I recently stayed at The Soco Hotel during Barbados' Crop Over season to celebrate our engagement, and we had an amazing experience! The hotel is a lovely, cozy, and intimate property that stands out from the typical resort. The interior has a luxurious apartment-style feel, making it both elegant and comfortable. The beachfront views are absolutely breathtaking—the crystal-clear blue waters of Barbados are simply mesmerizing. While the beach area is on the smaller side, it's cozy and peaceful, with plenty of lounge chairs available to relax and enjoy the scenery. Another huge plus is that the hotel is all-inclusive. There is only one restaurant on-site, but don't let that fool you—the food is exceptional. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious, with beautifully presented three-course meals that tasted just as amazing as they looked. The location was also perfect. We were close to everything happening during Crop Over and were able to easily get around using Uber. What truly made our stay special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly warm, welcoming, and among the friendliest people we've encountered while traveling. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. I would highly recommend The Soco Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, intimate, all-inclusive getaway with outstanding food, beautiful ocean views, and exceptional service. We can't wait to return! Thank you for making our engagement celebration so memorable!"

"I liked that room service was every day and staff members were very friendly and helpful. The food of course was very delicious whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner. However, when it came to getting your drinks on the beach, I think the resort should think about having a beach bar near by."

"I was pleasantly surprised with how nice this property was, especially for the price. The room was very comfortable- firm bed, perfect ac and nice water pressure - and wifi worked without issues. View from balcony was fantastic. Only two downsides: at night, some weird chirping sounds were constant so couldn’t enjoy just the sound of waves - couldn’t tell if it was some sort of bugs or part of the property. Secondly, the Captain Charlie bar was horrible service. Only go there if you have hours to spare. Otherwise, the staff was really nice and would recommend the hotel overall."

Sugar Bay Barbados - All Inclusive

"I give it 5 stars. Always some room for improvement. Most of the staff were amazing. There were a couple that didn't seem to be very nice or didn't enjoy their job, Food was good. Colins - good. Reef - good (good variety each day as you eat here the most.) Sizzle steak house - great! Drinks were good. I appreciate the real drinks not being watered down. Room was great, had an Amazing view. Very happy about that. We had a family suite ocean view. Highly recommended. Nightly entertainment was good. Some great singers and the 2 fire guys get top marks! The minor negatives I will say are in an All inclusive the Umi and Sizzle restaruants being restricted is a negative, but with how good the Sizzle was I can forgive this. I really wish I could have experienced the Umni but it would have cost extra. It would be nice to have a hot tub on site. You need to add a 2nd bartender to the swim up bar when it gets busy. The one other negative would be to try to clean up the seaweed more often."
