Worms walking on the walls. Stains on curtains. This was a first and last for me within 10 minutes of walking into the room."

"I have stayed in this hotel twice primarily for the convenience of location to airport and many restaurants. As an IHG platinum member I was not recognized upon check in. I was in room 106 first visit which was located very close to front desk and dining hall. It was very noisy in the morning. "I didnt like the smell in the lobby or the strip lights in the room. The bathroom looked like the bathtub had been refinished poorly and not cleaned behind the bathroom door. The pool looked like it hadn't been open for years. There were bricks in the bottom with no water. We arrived about 1:00 and she did let us check in use til 3:00. "My experience was average. The place had a smell that I didn’t find pleasant, and the walls showed several imperfections that could be improved. I understand it’s a budget option, but with a bit more maintenance it could offer a better experience. I stayed out of necessity, although I personally wouldn’t choose it again."

"I travel to Townsend a couple of times a year to visit GSMNP and have stayed at numerous hotels in that area. This was my first time at The Parkman. Property was clean and staff were efficient. My only complaint was that my room did not have a mini-fridge and microwave. The property is undergoing some renovations and I hope they add mini-fridges and microwaves to all their rooms. The restaurant next door is also under renovation so there is no breakfast offering at the current time."
