"The hotel had a old world charm. For example the hot dish for breakfast came direct from the kitchen and not sitting on an hot plate in a buffet. Being an old building the owners clearly have issues and with my bedroom there was an issue with ventilation."

"We loved the look and the atmosphere of the hotel and the easy access to surrounding amenities - Shrewsbury is a lovely and charming place. Because it is basically an expanded Georgian town house, there are many stairs and the rooms are on the small side (the stairs were a bit of a trial - we are both in our 70s) and the car parking was tight and often full - there is a car park almost across the road, but it had recently changed hands and we could not use it because the pay station had "No Internet". We used another council car park a little walk away which was easy to use and relatively cheap. Breakfast was good and plentiful and the bar was good. Lovely, helpful staff."
