My husband and I absolutely loved this hotel. The entrance is beautiful and welcoming. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. It’s a lush oasis with a great pool and tropical plants surrounding it. We loved our room with a balcony overlooking the pool. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a strong shower. It was kept clean and was made up daily. We loved the choice of food and drinks at breakfast. Staff go over and beyond to help you. I highly recommend this lovely hotel.

We loved that the property felt like an escape in busy Chiang Mai, you step into Yantasari and it’s a lovely garden oasis. There is some airplane noise, but it didn’t bother us. Everyone was tremendously kind and helpful. The pool is beautiful and refreshing. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had both tub and shower. We had 2 hour massages our last day, at the hotel, which was a marvelous way to wrap up an all-too-brief visit to Chiang Mai. We would stay here again.

We ended up adding an additional 2 nights stay here becuase we loved it so much! Central to loads of good restaurants, shopping and near to a freeway for easy access to tour groups! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Garden oasis easy walk to main road
An oasis of green in the Nimman area. Nice hotel design with rooms looking onto central garden area and pool. Rooms well maintained while preserving some of the old wood furniture, doors, etc. Renovated bathrooms. A few small problems: soap in shower only (though good not to be in disposable bottles), water temperature hard to get right (though plenty of pressure), wifi sometimes slow.

Luscious city resort
Tropical garden setting, large comfortable balconies. Breakfast is a great start of the day. All staff at hotel are very attentive, friendly and welcoming. Perfect location in secluded side street near malls, restaurants and shops. Will stay again and highly recommend this resort.

2nd stay at Yantarasri
This was my second stay at Yantarasri. I originally chose this hotel for its location (near my son's girlfriend's wine bar (Wine Lover by Pao - check it out if you're in the area). I returned for the same reason but also because I enjoyed my first stay. The staff is wonderful, friendly and helpful (one even remembered me from my visit of 10 months earlier!). The breakfast is good. The only complaint I had this trip was that they were working on updating / remodeling one section of the hotel and thus there was construction noise that started a bit early in the day - understandable because that's the cooler part of the day but disturbing for a late sleep. Beautiful grounds. Pool was a bit chilly but refreshing for a quick swim. Last trip I had booked directly with the resort and that gave me the opportunity to book round-trip transportation to/from the airport.

What a service!
Excellent... staff are wonderful, very personal, they always remembered my breakfast choices from the day before and prepared my table with my preferred items. Not even 5 star hotels do that! Very cute resort with traditional teak wood and lovely gardens - most staff spoke perfect English! I would go back for sure. Location in Nimmam couldn't be better as coffee shops, bars and boutique shops are at doorsteps.

Mosquitos were really bad (hence overall disappointing review) otherwise decent value for money if you have a lot of bug spray on overnight! prob better to stay closer to the center of the city but liked the 'student' area in general. Taxi's generally charge you a bit more money to get back to the hotel once you are in the main area of the city. Lots of good cafes/food nearby.

We enjoyed the hotel, it was rustic.. But nice! I got bitten a lot by mosquitos and I was freaked out by the garden areas and stagnant pool (breathing ground).. I would have got bites anyway so it was nothing to do with the hotel.

The stay was actually pleasant. But considering how much we paid for the stay, it was not quite price worth. I do not know why the hotel is rated so high on this website, as after the first day of our stay, I checked other websites and saw much lower reviews. The staff are friendly and professional and respectful. But nothing more than what you would expect in hotels like this one. If you don't use their taxi service or massage or tour desk, you can expect nothing helpful on your day out. We had a few problems in the room and the response from the staff was a little slow and not too helpful. We dealt with a cockroach situation alone as well. The shower looks nice with the stones covering the floor but you will see hair and garbage among them from the previous guests. It's just due to the design; you can expect a normal daily cleaning otherwise. I do not recommend staying with the pool view. You will end up closing the curtain the whole day to avoid people sitting across the pool at the pool side facing all to your bedside. Breakfast was okay. It was nice that they change the menu slightly everyday. But not at all spectacular for the additional price.

Nice hotel close to funky Nimmanhaemin st. Great breakfast buffet, eggs cooked fresh how you like them. Nice pool, great staff. Shower wasn't working correctly, I didn't complain but I'm sure they would have fixed if asked.

Check in was straight forward and quick. Some staff were friendly and a couple of the staff should not work customer facing as their miserable looking faces and at times abrupt manner isn't the right attitude. Rooms are clean, typically Thai style with lots of wood. Pool - quite a let down, it's situated in the middle of the accommodation buildings, the buildings were placed so close to the poll that there's too much shade. This means that the pool is a tad cold at times, and that its pointless laying on the sun loungers .... you wont be getting a tan! Food - breakfast a bit of a let down. The buffet choice is meagre and average in quality. The fresh coffee ... isn't! It's instant coffee served in what looks like a coffee jug from a coffee maker. Location - pretty good for shops and restaurants, but annoyingly is located directly below the glide path for the airport, the plane is LOUD as it flies over.

My family enjoyed 5 days at Centara Beach Resort. My sister and her family took a pool villa while the rest of us stayed in two adding premier deluxe rooms facing the gorgeous beach and sea. The breakfast buffet is outrageous with such a cool variety, the variety in food from the different restaurants was excellent as well as having access to Club facilities was good too. It rained heavily on two nights but the staff were quick to mop up the area on our balconies and make us comfortable again. It is slightly over an hour drive in the van from the airport and that was a bit too long for my little girl. To do any shopping, it's a 15 minute taxi ride to Patong so that was convenient. All in all it was a lovely holiday. The buggy drivers and staff all around were lovely, with a beaming smile always. Thank you!

Stay somewhere better. Very disappointing.
The hotel is tired, dirty and noisy. Thus, it is well overpriced. Yes the staff were helpful but you will find that practically everywhere in Thailand, at a fraction of the cost. Evidently, little money has been spent maintaining the place. Cockroaches in the room. Mosquitos everywhere because of the stagnant pools of water, supposed to be ponds with running water. The hotel is directly underneath a flight path. There is no privacy. The photo's you might see create the illusion of space and privacy. However, there is very little space and the pool is too shallow and too small for more than 2 people.

terrible. we checked out early. Even though the hotel advertises 'babysitting services'this hotel is NOT family friendly at all. We have a baby and there is a sunken bath IN the room that is a danger to our baby - also the baby cot they provide is banned in Australia (where we are from) as it is unsafe for children. although they advertise room service - when we asked they told us they didnt have it - we had to go to the main road for a meal. we checked out early even though they would not refund our pre-paid booking and it cost us money.

Same problems as previous reviwers stated, location is good which is impressive. You can get everything you want not far from the neighbourhood. But, this is the only pros I have for this hotel. 1.There is no service at all. The staff at reception don't have smile or greet at all no matter at your check-in, pass-by or check out. Look like they want you to leave the reception ASAP without asking or say anything. The staff is just not helpful and friendly at all. 2. Style of room is good. You feel relaxed, but cleanliness will raise your attention and bring the worry back. Dirty spider webs and cotton candy-like dust on the wall, plus dirty coffee spoon and dirty bed linen. You can clearly see the spoon was used and dried with a mark on it without washing. How can a 4 star hotel provide this kind of service. The wooden floor also cracked. 3. Besides the cleanliness, the hotel is old and needs renovation and maintenance. The plants also need some care. You can't let them grow like they are in wild and block the view of everything though the hotel tends to provide a oasis-like environment. But it completely turns into a wild jungle now. This hotel needs HUGE improvement. improvement of service provided from staff, renovation, cleanliness and so on. It is the worst hotel I have stayed in throughtout years of my travel and work. The budget hotel can even beat it easily. It should not have rated 4* and served good ranking. You can find far better hotel at this price in Chiang Mai. Read more comments and think twice before you make the decision.

처음엔 좀 낡은 듯 했으나 머물수록 뭔가 친근하면서 편안했습니다. 주말엔 좀 시끄러운 듯 했으나 평일은 조용하고 좋았습니다. 비행기 소리는 좀 크게 들렸습니다. 조식은 쏘쏘 큰 욕조가 있어서 그것도 좋았습니다. 쇼핑몰 식당 등 접근성이 아주 좋아서 만족합니다.
