Let's start with the positive. We arrived at 8:00am and within 30 minutes they were able to accommodate us. The location was excellent. We were literally steps away from the night bazaar.
The room we booked was horrible, the beds were extremely hard, the toilet seat was broken, the towels had holes and looked as old as Thailand. There was no ac, which was much needed. We paid for the "upgrade" to a room with ac. In the shower you get two options: hot water or cold water but not both at the same time. The sink faucet was broken, it came off when I tried to wash my hands. The room was as old, the bed just as hard but the ac worked. This is as basic as it gets hotel. Barely two old towels in the room, no toiletries, no hair dryer, the hotel had no iron or ironing board, no safety deposit boxes either. You can leave your valuables in a locker at the reception area. If you try to pay for anything with a credit card they will tell you is not working, they want cash. Prepare yourself if you get to use the credit card, they charge you a 4% fee. Do not buy tours there, they charge at least 400 bahts more than any other place. You can hear everything that goes on around you so it's not a quiet place. Take ear plugs with you. The Wi-Fi is ok. You have to connect to different ones depending on where you are in the hotel.
I guess if you are trying to save money and don't mind roughing it, this hotel might be ok. Otherwise, I would try a different place.
