Located in a more chill and less westernized area. Still many things near by for food, sights and easy walk to anywhere in old city. The host is wonderful and the place is very safe and taken care of.

My daughter and I loved our stay at the Dozy House in Chiang Mai. Besides clean amenities and laundry services, we were grateful for Jina’s assistance in choosing and reserving activities for us. When we arrived, our room key was at the front desk with a note to add the owner’s contact on WhatsApp. This is how we communicated with Jina for the duration of our stay. It was both convenient and efficient. Per her recommendation/brochures available at Dozy House, we had the pleasure of visiting Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, Wat Pha Lat, Bhubing Palace (and rose garden), the Karen Hill Tribe Elephant Sanctuary, a “Sticky Waterfall,” and took an evening cruise along the Ping River—all within four days. Highly recommended.

Excelente location!!!! The family who manage the place goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable all the time!!! They did all our laundry for about $3 !!!!, and after 2 weeks traveling there is nothing better that having all our laundry done!!! The room was great! Good and large bed!! Manger very sweet! Helped us to organize all our tours!!! And taxi at 5 am to get to the airport for departure!!! Thank you so much for such a great service!!! We strongly recommend this place for service and value!!!

Lovely comfortable stay
Overall a good stay. Large room and nice bathroom and shower. Sealed cement floor in room is a little dirty looking. Generous breakfast included. Coffee/tea/toast available 24 hours which is nice. Thin cloth bath towel ended up being very absorbent and a great alternative to traditional towels.

The staff were friendly & helpful...booking trips & taxi to train. Breakfast was very good...always enough fruit . Rooms were clean and quiet. I would stay there again when in Chiang Mai. Very nice place to stay... visit was excellent

Nice hotel
This hotel is not fancy, but considering I was going for budget travel, it was a really nice place. The evening front desk staff was nice and housekeeping did a great job. I loved being able to open the windows in the morning to let in the air. Breakfast was also a nice touch, but I did see an ant crawling near where the breakfast food was which made me a little uncomfortable. The room was really large and it all felt neat and clean. The drain was a little slow to drain but I think it's just an older building. The one day I was woken up very early by an unknown sound and later realized it's because the back window in my room opens up into an alleyway where the big school opens up into so I was hearing middle or high school students. The location is good BUT as a solo female traveler the long and dark street coming from the side away from the canal made me a little uncomfortable to walk alone but the walk to the street along the canal was comfortable. I'd stay here again, though. Nice people, good room and location is in the old town. Also, the front desk helped me call Ubers since I couldn't download the app on my phone.

Excellent it is like being home
Great hotel, quiet road accessible easily yo city centre and various many attractions, excellent service. There is no lift but who wants one with such great service at great price. Free coffee and toast 24 hours, book available at the library, very nice sitting area in the lobby.

Great Place in a quiet settings
The dozy house is a quaint family style accommodation option with spacious, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Staff and the owner are super friendly and very helpfull with local knowledge and guidance. Fully recommended as it is located in a quiet street within the heart of chiang mai easily in walking distance to all markets. They also provide tea, coffee during your stay free.

Comfortable hotel with great staff
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The check in and check out process is smooth. The room is very spacious and comfortable with basic amenities. The lobby is very nice, where you can just hang out and get to know other traveller.

Great Stay!
THE Room Was spacious, comfortable and safe. The staff and owner at the guest house are the most caring, knowledgeable and just adorable people. They helped me out right away figuring routes, activities and ways of transportation around the old town. It is very well located within the old town and it is super easy to get food, walk to temples of hop on a red cab. Budget friendly so don't expect the ritz Carleton but definitely worth your money! The wifi in my room was touch and go but it's just a small detail.

I stayed here at Dozy House for 4 nights booked via Expedia. Check in and out was flawless. They have tourist information and you can book through reception. Staff was nice but I found that there were too many flaws to make it my perfect stay as I found a much better hotel closer to the heart of the Old City. You can tell that the hotel put a lot of love and work into modernizing the space and that was a nice first impression. For the price of one night, it is a comfortable stay. Pros: - OK location NW inside the Old City - Had powerful A/C - Water was hot - Spacious room and beautiful decor - Served water/juice/smoothies and had their own menu for food - Free tea/coffee/toast downstairs - Comfortable bed - Provided umbrellas in the lobby Cons: - Location is VERY loud as it's right beside a school and every morning 7:30 AM, I heard trumpets and drums (band camp style) - Wifi did not work 3/4 of the time and was very slow - Washroom did not have fan - Garbage did not have lids or sanitary bags as you cannot flush TP - No refrigerator/safe - No slippers in room - No elevators (but that's OK for me) - Housekeeping came too late in the day for us as we usually get back to our room by 2 PM - Thin towels, you can rent proper towels in the lobby Recommended Restaurants: There is a Chinese Noodle off the main room that was delicious (orange sign) and another restaurant off Arak under hotel name Big Tree Boutique that served the most amazing Khow Soi I've ever had!

It was a great place to stay! Friendly helpful staff well located within walking distance of downtown. The room was spotless. I cannot recommend this location highly enough if you are ever in Chiang Mai and are looking for a friendly hostel.

Friendly, quiet hotel with very personal care
This is a very nice place in the North Western corner of Old Town. Not in the middle of where the action is but close enough. The owner and staff speak good English and they are very helpful. The place is simple when it comes to room comfort but everything which counts is taken care of: bed is good, water is strong and hot, internet is good, A/C works properly, all activities and bikes can be booked at the hotel and you can even prepare a small breakfast for yourself in the mornings. Furthermore, it is clean and still quite new. The owner is there all the time so you can be sure you have everything you need plus a very positive personal experience.

We liked the quitet street the hotel is on, which is a bit away from the hubbub but is within strolling distance to most of the places we wanted to go. The room and bathroom were clean and functional, the bed was surprisingly comfortable for an Asian bed. The outside light will interfere with sleep, though, so bring any eye mask. Owner and staff are low key but very warm and welcoming. A good value for money and easygoing place to start a visit to chiang mai.

Clean, quiet, friendly, no frills. Walking distance to almost everything, but far enough away for some peace and quiet. Hotel owners were very sweet and helpful. Room was clean and there was always hot water!

Prepare to walk a little bit, everyday!
The staffs are so kind. Room is clean and comfort! However, two things must be kept in mind! First, the location of the hostel is good, just 3 minutes walk from the main road. But none of the drivers knows this location well. You can even ask them to drop you down at the correct junction of the main road and that little road, which means, you can only ask them to drop you at the big temple, Wat Phra Singh and walk around 10 minutes to the hostel. That's fine when you are with someone else because it is a little bit dark and quite. But if you shops a lot, that will kill you. We are lucky that when we came back with 5 big bags from Central Festival, a taxi driver (not tuk-tuk) asked many others for help to drive us back to the front door of the hostel. Secondly, the hostel ask you to take off your shoes when you walk up to your hotel room. Therefore, please prepare a clean in-room slippers if you cannot stand for the coldness of the floor. But also keep in mind that someone will steal your slippers. That really happens to us. On our third day staying in the hostel, just when we were so tired and went back to the hostel, we found out that our slippers were gone and they "showed up" the next day. It is strange that someone will steal others' slippers! We did not want to make any trouble and the slippers were cheap, one-time paper slippers. Therefore, we did not report our loss to the host of the hostel! But I still highly recommend this hostel!

최악입니다 우선 매일 매일 청소를 하는것이 아니라 체트 아웃후에 청소한다네요 그리고 건물 자체가 너무 더워 24시간 에어컨을 켜놔야 시원할 정도이고 생수도 주지않고 참대에선 삐걱삐걱 소리나고 주차 공간도 없습니다 그리고 화장실은 너무 어두워요

The place is well located inside the old town, in a quiet area though it has a school next door that can be loud sometimes. The first room we got had a very bad smell in the bathroom so after a couple of days they moved us to another room, which was much better. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but the bathroom floor gets a bit wet. The girl that worked in the morning was very nice and friendly, and spoke english which is very helpful. Breakfast could improve and maybe give you some other fruits for a change (always and only bananas). But it is nice to be able to have tea and coffee whenever you want, and also bread. They should give you proper towels instead of thai towels. But in general, It’s a good place to stay for what you pay.

Para empezar no es un hotel, es más bien una vas de huéspedes. La limpieza de las habitaciones es mala, ni siquiera tienen toallas y te ofrecen unas tipo sábanas que huelen mal, si quieres toalla tienes que pagar. El personal aunque trata de ser amable están cerrados a ofrecer un buen servicio. El lugar donde se puede desayunar es terrible y no da confianza ni ganas de desayunar ahí.

Acho que o horário do café da manhã poderia começar mais cedo, porque fizemos passeios por agência que foi nos buscar as 7:15, e por dois dias praticamente ficamos sem o café da manhã, mas tinha pão e bananas a vontade mesmo fora do horário.

Extremely welcoming place in a great location
This place is just great. I loved it so much I extended my visit right away. It’s very beautiful and neat but also homely. The room where I’m staying is spacious, beautiful and clean and overlooking the street and the neighborhood. The hosts and incredibly kind, sweet and welcoming. They’ve helped me with every question I’ve had about anything. They live in the same house which adds up to the feeling of being home away from home. The location is great, in the old town and not too far away from the main spots but still in a more quiet and less touristy area. I highly recommend Dozy House!

War nur für eine Nacht. Herzlicher Empfang und familiäre Atmosphäre. Für Reisende mit schwerem Gepäck eher weniger geeignet, da kein Aufzug. Wurde morgens vom Lärm der Grundschule nebenan geweckt. Hatte leider einen stechenden Geruch im Badezimmer (aus dem Abfluss der Duschecke). Dies war aber auch schon der einzige Kritikpunkt. Kostenloser Kaffee in der Lobby (Selbstbedienung). Frühstück kann gegen Bezahlung geordert werden. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Lage ca. 30m bis zur Hauptstraße. An der Hauptstraße befinden sich Restaurants, 7-Eleven Supermarkt und "normale" Bar die in wenigen Gehminuten zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Es verkehren regelmäßig rote Sammeltaxis an der Hauptstraße mit denen man leicht überall hinkommt. Meine Empfehlung für Budgetreisende und Backpacker.

Algemeen geen klachten , behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel , kamer ok , aan de rand van de oude stad dus wel een eind weg van tha pae Gate ,mijn kamer was vlak naast een klaslokaal van de school dus uitslapen was er niet bij .maar al bij al tevreden

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel qualche tempo fa e non lo consiglierei ad un amico. Il potenziale dell'hotel ci sarebbe ma non è curato, manca l'adeguata manutenzione e le camere non sono pulite ( lenzuola sporche e macchiate). Suggerirei alla struttura di considerare interventi migliorativi per sfruttare al massimo il potenziale del posto.

This review surprised us. Dozy House is 6 years old. We started the business with no restaurant and no car park. Two year later, we renovate the restroom with a new proper tiles and put a hair dryer and toiletries. We extend to have a car park area and restaurant in a latter. Last year, we renovate the stair and hallway decoration. This year, we just made a new reception counter. You may notice this and compare from your previous visit. Our rule is changing the new bed sheet when the customer check-out or per request. These evident routinely double check by counting the bed sheets. The number of bed sheets to be cleaned each day will not be less than the number of the check-out room. Our understanding is a stain on the sheet, and we will improve on the quality control of bed sheet from now on.

We really felt at home at Dozy house. The staff could not be more friendly, they helped us with everything. The breakfast, that was not included in the price, was cheap and tasty! The rooms were spacious and clean. I would recommend dozy to all young travellers looking for a cheap but lovely place to stay.
