"As soon as we entered the lobby, we were bit by mosquitoes and had a long wait to get our room, even though we reached only at check in time. Everything was good once we got the room. SANTIEGO in dining area took care of us like we were family. He ensured vegan food was available and also got us some vareity of dishes to try for breakfast as we stayed 2 days. "

They extended checkout by an hour and also stored luggage. Mouli helped with every request we had and weighed our suitcases too for our flight. "A great place to stay in Chennai, couple of good points and one downer. Overall it felt slightly a business hotel but with alot of colonial heritage. It had a nice (though hot pool) to relax at, more importantly it had an amazing restaurant called Rivertree tucked away that has delicious tasting menus and not too pricey. Go there. "We had an amazing two nights at Kaldan Samudhra! Amazing property, with excellent service. Santu in the restaurant took amazing care of us. But all the staff was very friendly and attentive. One of them even noticed that my son was reading a book and brought him a bookmark. The food was very good and the pool and amenities (gym, rec room) were fantastic as well. We will certainly plan a trip back here! "
