Convenient and much more!
This is a really convenient spot if you have a late arrival or early departure from the airport. Is there airport noise? A bit, but the airport isn't busy enough for it to be obtrusive. The apartment is compact but has everything you're going to need. Spotless too. Would recommend to anyone.

FYI- you are renting an apartment with a bedroom and a living room and a kitchen and a washer and dryer. It's not a luxury hotel so you have to clean up after yourself. I feel like I definitely got my monies worth. Heather is the owner and she met me at the apartment. She showed me around and then even drove me to where I can take the bus or van. I had a hot shower everyday and I was able to do my laundry before I left. You have to know that you are not in the center of entertainment. The location is far from the popular spots, but you can call a taxi (Chris's card is there for you're to call) or you can take a bus or a van. I'm from NYC so I've taken "dollar vans" before. The Vans are cheap, but you are stuffed and sometimes over stuffed with other people, but I'm still alive and I had no problems. The apartment is kind of in the hood, but I never felt unsafe and Heather has the apartment very secure. I would totally stay here again, but maybe rent a car next time (there's a driveway). And also, if you're from America, they drive on the other side just so you know. The apartment is quaint and perfect to lay your head down if you're going to be mostly at the beach. It has AC and cable TV.

Thank you for your review. There is no way this apartment is "kind of in the hood". It is not only for those who want to be at the beach all day. It is great for all. It is relaxing, peaceful and quiet, but I am not sure if it was too peaceful and too quiet for you. For those who do not like the the smaller vans, the public owned buses are another choice and as you said, taxi as well. Not sure what you mean by 'quaint". The apartment is modern with modern fixtures and amenities. Thanks again.

The cleaniest place that I have ever stayed in while traveling!!!!!! I didn't have to use my Lysol spray. I travel a lot. This is the first time I've written a review. Very comfortable apartment. I usually have trouble falling asleep in hotels, but not here. It gave me a feeling of being right at home. Perfect location, less than 3 minutes drive from airport. There was bottled water, fresh fruit and snacks for out enjoyment. I would give this place a five star for service. Great place to relax for vacation or get away. I highly recommend staying here!!!

Lovely home and lovely host!!
The home was just perfect for us. There were 3 of us and this home was the perfect fit for us. Every amenity was provided for in this home. We thoroughly appreciated the food items that were already there upon arrival as I was able to whip up a quick dinner. The home is cleaned to the T and in wonderful condition. You know that it very well cared for. Our host was very informative and very down to earth. I couldn't have chosen a better experience for this being my first visit to the beautiful island of Barbados.

Hopeville is located at 8-minutes walking distance of BGI airport and offers a superb apartment. Air-condition and ceiling fans. Mosquito screens in all rooms. All was superbly clean and tidy. Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet. Hopeville is a true value for money accommodation.

THIS guest house in Barbados is great. Have a house just for myself. It's fully equipped, has kitchen, wifi, etc. And is very clean. I think they have at least two of them. Heather is a very nice woman.

Thank you for choosing Hopeville. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the cleanliness of the Apartment. While you were staying with us, we ensured to ask if everything was alright and if there were any issues. You assured us that everything was going well and there were no problems. You can imagine how shocking it must be for us to read your review, regarding the parking. Quite often our driveway accommodates 3 vehicles with ease. Maybe the reason you were unable to park in the driveway is due to a fault of your own, which we cannot be held responsible for. From observation it took you about 10 -15 minutes to park. Others park in less than 1 minute. Yes, one side is close to a very low /short wall, but there is nothing on the other side. You went much closer than you needed to. It is also much easier to park face out. On another note, we would have appreciated if you had informed us that you damaged the television remote, instead of your failed attempt to stick it back together with glue. We were also very displeased with the fact that our Managing Director knocked repeatedly on the front door, on your second last day, and no one answered. In fact the apartment turned from a light house to total darkness. We found this very disrespectful. We are sorry we could not meet all of your needs, but we wish you well in securing another accommodation on your future trips.

Upon arriving, we were immediately impressed by how clean the guesthouse was. Heather (the owner) was extremely friendly and inviting, taking time to answer any questions we had about the island. Also, there were several items in the kitchen available to us, including fresh fruit, eggs and bottled water. Heather was very attentive and helpful during our stay, checking in numerous times asking if there was anything else we needed. On Valentine's Day she surprised my fiancée by bringing a box of chocolates and sparkling grape juice. We would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Barbados, and plan to stay there again in the future!

Stayed at five different apartments (all in the same price range) touring the Bahamas and Hopeville Guest House was the cleanest, quietist, best equipped (newer appliances / quality bed), and most comfortable of them all. Heather, the host, was friendly and accommodating. She even offered to drive us to the airport when we departed. A ten minute walk to the airport and bus stop, and close the 'Concord Experience' and a short bus ride to 'Sunbury Plantation House'. The apartment is not walking distance to restaurants, beaches or night life attractions, but close enough by bus or if you have a car rental. Classy accommodations at a reasonable price.

Some experiences are worth sharing.
Located near the airport, so the place is ideal for travelers. The landlord is nice, accommodating, comprehensive and very professional. It is very clean, fully furnished and newly equipped apartment - just bring your luggage and live! I really enjoyed my stay there and will definitely come back.

A great little GEM!
We booked this place because we had an 8 hour stop-over at BGI during the day and did not want to sit at the airport that long. I was not sure we had made the right decision until we arrived at the location. First of all, it's extremely close to the airport (closer than almost all other options). We were greeted upon arrival and everything was clearly explained and to our liking. The private little apartment is adorable and impeccably clean and well decorated. We had tv, wifi, snacks, bottled water, and most importantly tons of space to nap and relax while waiting for our flight. I have stayed at several hotels and resorts in Barbados and I can say with certainty that I will return to this guest house before almost any of the hotels I've stayed at in the past. We will definitely return!

The property was spotless and so cozy!! Heather was very welcoming and even picked up a few groceries for us prior to our arrival which was very thoughtful. The location is walking distance from the bus stop and airport, phone is provided for local calls and the neighborhood is quiet. We loved staying here and hope to return in the future!

Thank you for your review. Hopeville is about 25 minutes drive from the city. As you stated it is located close to airport, where you have an excellent bus connection to go almost anywhere on the island. You are absolutely wrong in saying that it is only good for one night. If you or anyone look at the many reviews across the internet, you will see that the majority of guest come for extended periods of time. You were there for only 1 night and we are surprised that you can have such a conclusion. The long stay guests who continue to come, refer others and return themselves, obviously do not share your view. That is misleading and skewed information, but we do respect and acknowledge that one is entitled to their opinion. Thanks again.

Spent four nights celebrating my tenth Anniversary. Both myself and wife were very comfortable and satisfied.It was more than we expected trully felt like we were home for it had all the modern conveniences a home can offer.Most satisfying was our gracious host Heather who from the time we landed sought to take care of our every need and concern as this was our first visit to this beautiful isle.Located just five minutes drive from the airport it proved to be just what we needed after a long day of flying and frustration with Liat Airlines which was the only sore spot in our lovely vacation.The best beaches on the Island were just a 20 -30 minutes drive from the Guesthouse.

Stayed 1 night as part of layover to Dominica. Property has excellent decor,fixtures & fittings and furnishings and is located a few minutes away from airport. It is located in a residential neighbourhood that is well maintained. Personal touches very well received plenty of toiletries, snacks and drinks. Heather the owner of the property was very tentative, warm and welcoming and able to provide information to help you get around. There were 4 in my party and we were very comfortable in the 2 bedroomed property. I would highly recommend this property.

Excellent experience. Would stay there again. Met by owner that showed us where things were. She had complimentary bottles of water & juice in refrigerator. Coffee, tea, snacks were also provided. It was a pleasure staying at Hopeville Guest House. Heather and her daughter picked us up free of charge from airport, which is less than a mile away. They also took us to the store to buy some hygeine stuff the night we arrived. Would definitely stay here again if he go to Barbados again.

I only stayed a few hours at the Guest House in between flights. The host picked me up at the airport and dropped me back, at no additional cost. This was very good, as taxi fares are not cheap. The Guest House also have enough snacks, including fruit,which allowed me to have a quick breakfast. There was a full kitchen, and the apartment was very luxuriously appointed. The neighbourhood was very quite and I slept very well, which again is usually difficult for me when I travel, but I slept extremely well. The hosts were very friendly as well. the only issue I had was that I could not find a wi-fii signal when I looked for it, but I forgot to ask the hosts and for the short time I was there, it was no problem. If I have to overnight, I will definitely stay here again. If I have to attend a conference or meeting at the university (Cave Hill) or in the heart of Christ Church, I will have to check them again for transportation ease to and from the hotel. Overall, an excellent stay!

My stay at the Hopeville Guesthouse was excellent. It is a lovely home and I have already recommended it to family and friends to check out when they come to Barbados. It was just unfortunate that I had to leave early. I have all good things to say nothing bad about my stay. I absolutely loved it.

Great apartment and very helpful owner!
I was just stopping over for one night in Barbados and my experience could not have been better. My flight was delayed and it was late. The owner came to pick me up and arranged a taxi for next morning. There was some food and teas in the apartment, which anyway has a full kitchen. The apartment was very clean and every was completely in order. Just a few minutes from the airport. Fully recommended!

Super logement dans le sud de l'île.
Le logement est très propre, comme neuf, très bien équipé, avec clim et wifi, et l'hôtesse est très agréable et donne des conseils sur les choses à faire dans les environs. Seul bémol, le quartier, résidentiel, n'est pas des plus fantastiques, mais point positif, on est à 3 min de l'aéroport (sans que le bruit ne soit un désagrément). Logement situé à 10/15min de Oistins ou Saint Lawrence's gap.
