I don’t think they changed the air conditioner filters until the machine eventually breaks. There is dust and spiderwebs everywhere. I’m pretty sure there was mold in the bathroom… I think from a leak in the wall. The breakfast is very small and not very appealing. There is no elevator.

The room is so small and the bathroom is not even like that in some of the old apartments. The toilet seat was swinging sideways. No bath rug. AC system was not good as the bathroom remains cold. No hot breakfast not only Free breakfast people expect. Standardization and professionalism is not seen at all.

Very clean hotel, with friendly and very helpful staff!! It's in walking distance of shopping mall and different fast food restaurants. Great place to stay!

A recent storm knocked out electrical power for two days, and fried the hotel's key machine. Our room's door was ajar for our access and the room seemed undisturbed. We were able to go out one at a time for the one night and let the other in. The clerk said he could let us in if we both left and returned. The staff could not have been nicer. We did not use the fridge, microwave, TV, or coffee maker. The hotel is older and showing some wear, but the beds were comfortable. Housekeeping had done a complete job. No complaints on that. I wore white socks on the carpet and it was apparently cleaned fairly recently. The room was a reasonable value for the cost, which was 86.78 after tax and fees. The place was very popular with electrical workers restoring power after the storm mentioned above, based on the nearly full parking lot on a Friday night.

Good spot for my trip to Charleston with food and shopping a short walk across the parking lot. My wife found the bed a little narrow for two people and the toilet had some issues flushing, but nothing major. I would not recommend this place to the very elderly or disabled (no elevator I could find) but otherwise a fine "no frills" choice.
