"Château de Fère is set in an extraordinary location, and the setting alone makes it well worth a stop. "Everything was lovely, great location, great facilities and friendly staff. My only quibble was the coffee machine in the room was broken and the shower smelt a bit musty. We only stayed one night and I didn’t feel I needed to mention to staff, but I know if I had they would have sorted it out. The bed was comfortable and swimming pool great and the restaurant was enjoyable. Many thanks"

"Don’t know how some of the hotels get 8 or 9 rating. Low bed, no air conditioning, dusty, fan didn’t work, faucet broke, no ice or drinks available, loud frogs. Secure entry, nice Chateau and friendly staff made up for some of it. My wife wasn’t impressed."
