"Our stay here was not as expected, they can do much better or at least be honest on their advertisement. Our room was nothing like whats depicted on the web page, the room was older, dark inside and out, lighting was horrible. There were also areas where critters can invite themselves into the room at the doorway. The grounds is a bit overgrown and need a bit of a manicure, especially when harmfully creatures reside on these leaves and can easily come in contact when walking down the pathway to you room at night. The pool at the main dining area needs renovation to meet current standards, obesely its not shown on the pictures on the webpage to deter future guests, no one was using this pool during our stay. Lets move on to the other pools thats either extremely cold or extremely hot. No happy medium here if you're looking to unwind in moderate waters, mostly everyone we talked to didn't have good experience which an amenity we all look forward too while on vacation. Around these pools can also do with a landscape trim and at least remove the hornets nest that resides over your head while trying to acclimate to the hot water for a bit of relaxation, if you can. The grounds staff was very helpful and kind, they met our expectations and then some. The food was just good in my opinion, no wow moments to talk about. Everything else was just satisfactory and we made doo, still don't understand how they had so many good reviews when we were booking this location."

"Clean, nice staff overall, felt safe, beautiful hot springs and spa. Very dim lighting on path to rooms at night. My only complaint is that they are trying to charge me for a third person when only two of us stayed here, checked in, and confirmed with staff at check-in. Staff not being very helpful with refunding for the non-existent third person. Disappointing to my trip because I really did like this place, but probably won’t stay here again because of this. Double check your reservation with this place! "

"Lost Iguana Resort exceeded my expectations! I spent a lot of time researching different places to stay before visiting La Fortuna and was so happy I chose to stay here. It could not have been better. Clean, beautiful property with hiking and pool, amazing volcano views, delicious breakfast, wonderful staff!"

"The property itself was amazing the food also was amazing. The Spa was superb. Rooms were clean daily if requested. Staff was gracious and friendly. I will definitely recommend this resort. The views and the thermal springs were a sight to see. My only concern were the roads getting there from the airport. Make sure you make reservations to be picked up by the resort staff. Roads not easy to navigate for the average driver. It was an amazing Vacation."
