"This is a top notch bed and breakfast with nice, clean rooms with hotel feeling. This was our second visit and we had again warm and serviceminded welcome. We had a really wellmade dinner with the best choclate fudge cake ever (and I have tried many!). Nice breakfast with lots of home made stuff. It’s an old school so there is also an old gym hall which our kids love. This is the number one stop If you go through Sweden but we could also easily spend a Dalecarlian weekend there."

"A lovely stay at Gopshusgården We stayed at Gopshusgården in July and really enjoyed it. The cabins were clean, cozy, and surrounded by beautiful nature. It’s a calm and genuine place with a very welcoming atmosphere. When we arrived and mentioned we wanted to go for a swim but had no food with us, the host kindly made sandwiches for us to take to the lake — such a thoughtful gesture! "Staff was very welcoming and helpful on arrival. Hotel is well located for walking and access to central rail station. Room was clean, good and quiet. Breakfast was decent but not as fine as some other hotels. Overall, very comfortable stay."

"We always stay here when traveling to sweden upon arrival or departure depending on our flight schedule. Always conveniently located to catch Arlanda Express or the train into town or catch our flight the next morning. The shopping nearby is also great if you need one final cardamom bun before leaving Sweden. Speaking of food, leave yourself time for breakfast in the morning…so much to choose from, including making your own fresh squeezed orange juice! My husband even said that it was his best sleep of any hotels we stayed in during our stay! Highly recommend!"

"There were 2 lovely women at the front desk most of the 4 days we were there. They were amazing, especially since they always had people checking in and out. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t have a concierge which was frustrating. We had a record player in our room that for some reason we couldn’t figure out how to use it. The one time that two young men were at the front desk I asked them how to use it, and they said they had no idea and to ask the cleaners😖so I gave up. After that I only went to the women to help me get a taxi or to recommend a restaurant. Great location, great breakfast, nice bartenders and wait staff. Need to add to the snack menu at the bar (cheese and crackers, pate, fruit plate, etc) The outdoor patio off of the bar was awesome. Terrible and limited menu at the restaurant with the other outdoor seating area."
