For example, when a particular dish is missing on the high-end restaurant menu, you'd expect a waiter to share that in advance. Then 2 days later, 2 dishes are missing... The beach is at the bottom of a steep hill. There are gulf carts which take down and up. However, the service stops at 4 p.m. ??? Why not at least 6 or later? "

"First, I would like to say that I have been here four times and will continue to come. I don’t ever do this with any other hotel. This hotel is perfect for the following reasons: 1. The architecture of the interior and exterior is rustic style and very pleasing. It feel like you are staying in a Spanish mansion…..yes, a home, it has that feeling to it. 2. The food is incredible. In my opinion, the lunch and dinner have Michelin star quality. I have eaten at Michelin star restaurants...

"Beautiful location. Staff was amazing. Yvania at the front desk is the best concierge. Julia served my decaf espresso with foam every day with a super smile & friendly service. Food was great. Pool was perfect. The beds & pillows were comfortable. What a wonderful trip at Issimo Suites. I loved waking up every morning to the sound of Howler monkeys & many tropical birds. We even swam with the white face monkeys in the pool one day..... very carefully & from afar ;) It was an extra luxury

"Amazing place to stay in Monteverde! Very comfortable rooms and our porch had a view into a wooded spot where several different birds greeted us everyday. The walking trail on the property is a great place to see additional birds. We saw motmots, trogons, and several different kinds of hummingbirds. The breakfast is also excellent and filling to start your day. They also offer complimentary coffee in the afternoon. Emmanuel was a great host and help us change a booking for us. I highly recommend...

"We absolutely loved our time at La Mariposa. It was clean, conveniently located to great dining, quiet -- but by far our favorite was the view and the staff! The view is the most spectacular dining view we've ever seen. It's a wrap-around view of the mountains in the distance, the national park / rainforest to one side and the expanse of the pacific ocean. It's beautiful at both sunrise and sunset! Several restaurants in the area having stunning views of the ocean but absolutely none compare to La Mariposa and its onsite restaurant Le Papillon. It's truly jaw dropping. The pool and sunset bar share the view as well. The staff were incredibly gracious, kind and accommodating. Alan at the front desk is an absolute gem of a person -- we adored him and he took excellent care of us. My wife and daughters also loved the resident cat Marina who the hotel has kindly adopted. We were greeted by monkeys every morning when we walked out our door -- they always visit early in the morning and my daughters had the best time poking their heads out each morning and seeing the monkeys racing around -- some with babies on their backs. A sloth took up residence in a beautiful almond tree that the kids would go visit each morning at breakfast. We would stay here again in an instant."
