"Awesome funky little place. Very comfortable. Super friendly owners. Gas station next door. Restaurant up the street. My room was very clean and comfortable. This is a great place to stay is Austin is your destination or just a convenient stop along your way. Not much else in either direction for a while. But thankfully, this isn’t one of those “because it’s the only option” places. I’ll plan to stay here rather than my usual stop in Ely next time I’m coming through on 50."

"the hotel is 97 years old with a casino on the first floor. Lots of smoke and noise in lobby. The room was fine, no scent of tobacco reached us on the 6th floor. Each room on our floor had a theme and ours was the Hoot Gibson room with pictures of the silent film star in the room. On the bathroom door was a sign advising us of the hotel's age and noted that during the shower, the hot water may turn cold due to that age. We did not have the problem, both my wife and I showered with warm water...

"This is an old facility. You'll notice it in the bathroom fixtures. The shower/toilet room was clean. It needs to be updated to get the stained corners addressed. We stayed in the annex. It was quiet. Parking is limited for long box pickups."
