Typically during a stay you will find one good person, if you are lucky, but here each person made our stay better in a unique way. The hot free breakfast was also phenomenal! "The Breakfast was very good and fresh with plenty of options. Many types of pastries, fruits alternative milks. The front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable about the Douro Valley. The rooms had incredible views of the River. Rooms were spacious but were dated,they need a refresh. Bed was comfortable though. The area was good but you definitely need a car to see the rest of the valley and vineyards."

"Wow ! This is an Exceptional guesthouse, 5 *! I would highly recommend this location. Manuel is the host and will treat you as a family member. He is welcoming and approachable should your have questions or need anything. Rooms are spotless and very comfortable with all of the necessary amenities. Balconies look out over the river. The grounds are carefully maintained. Location is secure and within an easy 10min. walk to restaurants and the train. Breakfast is of the highest quality with lots of options. Eggs are cooked to order. Parking is safe with plenty of spaces. Shower is top notch; great pressure and temperature. Love it. Do not hesitate to book here."
