"Room was large but the furnishings were tired. The sheer curtain in our room had a giant tear in it and the bathmat was falling apart on the edge. Check-in was easy but accessing room from carport with luggage was not easy"

"Came here for a little weekend getaway with my wife. Room was very clean and exceeded our expectations. Staff was very helpful and friendly when checking in. Locations is very close to everything you’d need. About 5-10 min from nice beaches and about 20-25 min from Downtown SD. Didn’t get to try out the breakfast provided or the pool area. Overall a great experience and would book again."

"If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with not a lot of people and kids running around (besides the train every now and then during the day. lol) This is it. It’s a cute intimate staycation. The massage I got for my husband he loved and the footsoak in the garden with wine and cheese board was perfect. I even fell asleep in the garden waiting for my husband to finish his massage. The staff are super attentive and make you feel so welcomed. We satyed in the sage room and slept like babies....

"Staff was great, although the housekeeping crew could be a little loud, which was an issue because the rooms aren't very soundproof. My main complaint was that the A/C unit malfunctioned around 9:00 pm and sounded like a jet was landing in my room. As result, i didn't get much sleep that night. However, the next day the staff addressed it right away and got it fixed. It would have been nice to get a little knocked off my bill for a bad night, but I didn't press the issue. "On arrival the desk host personally walked me to the room, then showed all of the amenities, then walked us to the parking structure to show how to enter to the parking structure. It was a very pleasant experience, thank you"

"Staff was very friendly. We requested extra pillows and blankets our first night and they got them to us within 10 minutes. The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. The free breakfast was very nice (although we would have liked bacon on one of the days we were there instead of sausage everyday, not a complaint, just a suggestion.) Otherwise a very nice pleasant stay."

"Our stay at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar was comfortable and convenient. The property is beautifully landscaped and feels upscale without being pretentious. The room was clean and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, quiet atmosphere, and a pleasant view.
