The Cathedral Museum is housed within the 15th-century cloister of the cathedral. Look for a major highlight of the museum, the 7th-century tomb of a young girl from a Merovingian family. Archaeologists uncovered the tomb during excavations carried out in the 1990s. They found a precious collection of gold, silver and gem-encrusted jewelry items in addition to amulets, antique toys, ceramics and glassware.
See the skull of St. Bartholomew, one of Jesus’ 12 Apostles, in the adjacent Frankfurt Cathedral.
