Castelmola is a small town on a hilltop. It's within easy reach of Taormina but is less busy and touristy. I'd definitely recommend staying in Castelmola and taking the bus to Taormina for the day.

"The location was perfect and the penthouse unit was suburb. Has everything you need. Staff was very friendly. On Saturday night there were a lot of young adult locals partying loud and late in the front parking area which was annoying and disruptive to our sleep"

Castelmola was definitely a breathtaking venue . Spoiled for choice : Mt Etna & Taormina bay Also much quieter than Taormina which was crowded. Loved walking through the tiny narrow cobble streets .So many little eatery places and cafes.

Castelmola is a beautiful village with stunning views. It has a number of excellent restaurant options and also some great bars and shops. A wonderful place to unwind.
