"This was my second stay at River Mountain Lodge and I love its unbeatable location — just one block from both Main Street and the gondola. We booked a premium condo for our three-night stay and really enjoyed unwinding in the dry sauna, steam room and hot tub at the end of the day. "The room was very charming, with a private balcony. The second floor lobby was very comfortable for eating and lounging. The hotel supplies hot water for tea or hot chocolate at all times, plus all plates, bowls, mugs, and silverware, and with a fridge and microwave in the room, it was very easy to prepare simple meals there. It's an easy walk to Main Street or to the Peak 8 gondola."

"The best night’s sleep I had during a week long road trip! The unit is very good, the bed is spectacular (even though it’s a Murphy bed). The location rocks. The complex is due for some much needed seasonal maintenance. The hot tub needs an overhaul. Otherwise, great stay!"

We had some trouble controlling the heat and the construction caused some inconvenience and the property manager responded with a refund for our our discomfort.
