"Fantastic visit to this hotel. Room was lovely and clean, comfy bed, nice towels and even had toiletries. Nice decent sized tv and great variety of teas and coffees. We took our dog Barney and he was made very welcome, even getting a welcome pack. It contain 2 chews, a ball and a poop bag. There were even dog biscuits on the bar for a donation to charity. The bar was nice and with plenty of tables and drinks. A lovely log burner which Barney loved. Fresh bowls of water for him too. We went...

"The hotel was ideally situated for walking distance into Kirby Lonsdale and a short drive to local golf courses. It was clean and comfortable with a gym and pool/spa facilities and a well stocked bar. The manager was helpful. Sadly it no longer has a open/working restaurant so food is not available. Despite this limitation, it was very convenient and acceptable hotel to which I would return to if wishing to stay in that area."

"As a group of friends we have stopped here every year, its not for everyone and some reviews o have read have been unfair. The building is around 17th century, so thats unique on its own. Perfect location, the breakfast has always been good and the lady who runs it with her husband are friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was comfortable, dont expect the Ritz, its fantastic value, more money to spend on over priced meals in the local pubs. 6 of us stopped no complaints. We all get to stop in the same place so perfect. "
