"on arrival, the property stunk and had bad odour of mice or rats but we did not see any, we found nail clipping on the floor and looked not well cleaned. On the first evening, people arrived at the property and showed us that they also booked the same property and questioned our booking, was awkward and embarcing to my wife and kids. Day 3 while we sat eating we found mice running in the middle of the reception. we left the next morning, one day early. Total miss selling."

The homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious and prepared with so much care – definitely one of the highlights of my stay. The Esplanade Hotel

"Hotel was excellent, staff were very accommodating and allowed us into our room early. We had our puppy with us and they made her very welcome. Room was huge, pool area was lovely and breakfast was delicious. The views were incredible and we would not hesitate to book again."

Bedruthan Hotel and Spa

"The staff were great and very friendly. The spa was very good. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choices apart from kids running a muck touching food. Our room was clean and tidy the only thing that let it down was the quality of the mattress and that there was no where to put your suitcase and no hooks for coats."

"A really spacious flat, 2 toilets which is a huge plus. The kitchen was super well stocked, full size fridge which we don't even have at home! Very close to the beach (watergate bay). You do need to travel into newquay (either by car or by bus which stops right outside) in order to go to a shop for food. The beds are very soft (feels like older mattresses) which is really the only bad thing I can say about the place. Would definitely stay again!"

Camelot Castle Hotel

"We had a lovely stay at the Camelot Castle Hotel, with a good sized room that was clean and comfortable. As it's a dog friendly hotel, we could hear two dogs yapping in the room next door. We also found that the room had a "wet dog" smell each time we returned to our room but were unable to air the room as we couldn't open the windows. Due to the age of the building and retrospective fitting, the bathroom is very bijou, but usable (as long as you're not too large). Fine for a weekend. Due to availability, we had a moor view room, which was lovely, but would definitely try to get a sea view room if staying again. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious and very well presented. Bar staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent location, a short walk to Tintagel Castle along the road to the main entrance, and we also walked back along the coastal path from Tintagel beach / Merlin's Cave after our visit to the castle."
