Kevin was extremely accommodating throughout our stay and even provided breakfast before the usual hours to help fit in with our business trip!
Will definitely be returning to explore the area and plan on staying here
Everything here was fine, we found room too warm not a bad complaint really. Staff, owner and food very good, pleasant. Will return and will tell others about here
Great place to stay ! The staff super accommodating and polite. Food is good. Some nice Cocktails on menu and great scones for breakfast. Beds comfy and place is cozy. A Perfect location close to shops and pubs not far from ballyliffen or Malin Head. We Would stay here again.
Thanks to the whole staff for taking care of us during our stay.
Amazing what Kevin has transformed this building into. Fabulous comfortable B&B and had gorgeous food in the restaurant. All the staff were amazing. So nice and friendly and nothing was too much bother. Would definitley stay here again.
My wife and I traveled to Donegal for the weekend and found The Butterbean B&B to be absolutely perfect. Kevin, Colleen and the staff were wonderful. The room was immaculate and well appointed. The bed was super comfortable. The restaurant and food were great (homemade cheesecake was delicious). The B&B was perfectly located - walking distance to shops, cafes and pubs - and a short drive to Malin Head (the northern most point in Ireland) where we took in some star gazing in hopes of getting a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Only potential negative is that the room overlooked the Main Street so there was a bit of street noise as the younger crowd wrapped up their Staurday night (or technically Sunday morning). I do not fault the B&B for this - and think the comfortable bed enabled me to sleep through most of the temporary street noise. All in all, this is a great place and we will definitely stay here everytime we return to Donegal.
Everything was perfect about our stay. I rang to ask if we could check in earlier and was told this would be fine.
We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our pristine rooms, everything was spotless. We ate in the restaurant on the first night with our local relatives, each of us was very impressed with the meal and the service.
After two great night's sleep, we were treated to a wonderful breakfast each morning with the service once again being attentive.
This part of the world is amazing and well worth a visit, Carndonagh is such a friendly town and a great base for seeing the Inishowen Peninsula in all its beauty.
I cannot recommend The Butterbean highly enough if you intend to visit this area. The loacation, accommodation, food and friendliness of the proprietor and staff ensure you need to look no further for your place to stay.

Hotel tres beau mais bruyant bonne situation Geographique
Great little b and b. Comfortable, immaculate, stylish. Great breakfast choices. Plenty of free parking. Great location on high Street. Coffee and tea making facilities. Young attentive very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. Cons. No hairdryer or mini bar/fridge which was OK for me but might be needed by some guests.
Absolutely fantastic. Made last minute reservations about an hour before we arrived. Owner was there to greet us and everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Extremely quiet and comfortable. We had a triple room that was spacious and quiet. Lovely small common lounge upstairs. Even has a handicap accessible elevator. Very modern key fobs that are used to open doors giving extra security. The rooms are above the owners lovely restaurant which is where you get to order the most wonderful breakfast. Our options were Belgian Waffles, omelet, or full Irish breakfast. Fantastic cappuccino! Would highly recommend!
Really nice rooms which had only just been renovated and upgraded. Staff were really friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. Would definitely recommend.
