"I drove past it looking for a "motel" building--from the road it looks like storage units. But inside the compact rooms it is clean. Lovely step-in shower. Good for sleeping on a budget and convenient to Carlsbad Caverns. Also would do nicely for a single worker on an extended job. Bright lights all around the parking lot made me feel safe and secure walking anywhere around the elevated walkway/deck. "The staff was extermely friendly and helpful. They fixed the onlh issue i had in a matter of minutes, just with a faulty tv remote. The pool tables, gym, and cafeteria were unexpected amenities. And for dinner they offered a half rack of ribs, mashed potatoes, broccoli, full size salad, and desert all for $20. Highly recommend."

"The motel itself was great. The train that goes by at different times, which includes the middle of the night was my only issue and I can't fault the Carlsbad Inn for that. I would stay again if the need arises."
