"Here’s a polished review you could post: ⸻ I had a really fun stay at Riu Republica. What I liked most is that the resort really lets you choose the kind of vacation you want. If you’re in the mood to party, there are lively pools, the main beach entrance area, and lots of theme nights that keep the energy going well into the evening. But if you’re looking for peace and quiet, you can absolutely find that too. The pools, bars, and beach entrance on the left side of the resort are much calmer, and the back of the property is also a great place to relax without the party atmosphere. For dinner, one place that I think is a bit underrated is the Olé restaurant. I really enjoyed it and thought it was a great option for a nice dinner during the stay. Outside the resort we had some great adventures as well. The excursion to Saona Island was a lot of fun, and we also rented a car and explored Playa Macao and Juanillo Beach. One of the best parts of the trip was honestly just driving around and purposely getting a little lost and discovering new places. Overall, it was a really fun experience and a great trip. The resort works well whether you want to socialize and party or just relax and enjoy the beach."

"We spent a week at Barcelo Barbara Palace. The service was excellent. The staff were all very friendly. The food was excellent and there was a ride variety of all types of dishes for Young and Old that you could choose from. The resort is big but well organized so it doesn’t take much to get from one area to another. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a terrific getaway for families or groups of adults. "

"We just returned from a 3-night family stay at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar and overall had a really wonderful experience. The resort itself is beautiful, very lively, and offers plenty to do for families. The food was a highlight of our trip. Fantastic wine, cocktails, Pizza Lab, the food trucks, and M Café were all excellent and consistently fresh and flavorful. Cinko had a nice atmosphere and good food overall, though we felt some dishes were a bit under-seasoned. Sugar Factory was fun for the family and the food was decent but over cooked.. steak, burger and chicken all dry and overcooked and the service was slower during our visit, likely due to being understaffed, but the staff remained kind and accommodating. The staff across the resort truly stood out. Everyone we encountered was warm, helpful, and welcoming, and they played a big role in making our stay feel special. The rooms are comfortable and clean, though they could use some light updating in certain areas. Still, they were perfectly nice and functional for a family stay. The crowd during our visit was mixed, with many young families and groups. While we personally found some guests to be a bit snobby, unaware of shared spaces and resort etiquette at times, this is more a reflection of individual visitors rather than the resort itself, which was well run and enjoyable."

"We had an ocean and pool view from our room. The staff is what makes this spot so desireable. Ismael, the pool bartender is great. Our butler, Olbis was there for all of our needs. Walliam is incredibly personable. Anthony served us many times at the steak house and in the buffet and worked to make our time there enjoyable."
