The location was fabulous and our room had an amazing view over the beach. We had dinner in the bar area and had a window seat overlooking the sea. The food was wonderful and the staff worked really hard to provide excellent service. Harriet was chatty, friendly and really concscientious and is a real credit to the team. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Staff Willow, Betsy & Kate, are brilliant and made our stay amazing! Willow even brought in an iron in from her home, as the iron at the Ship had gone missing. We’ve already booked to return later in the year. Highly recommended, other ship is in a great location, with a view that is priceless.

Excellent visit and cold swim in the sea!

Superb visit as location is very close to beach and also has a very good restaurant so no need to travel out in evening for somewhere to eat.

Just great

Great position overlooking beach and sea. Staff were exceptional, especially Hayley, the manageress. Food was tasty and well presented. If you plan to stay, book a balcony room. Great to stand on watching and listening to the ocean.

A special shout out to Tom the waiter who went above and beyond serving us in the pub, he was the only worker doing his job on Sunday 9th march 25, his manager sat chatting to public all shift or out the front having a vape, while Tom was running around catering for everyone all on his own. Never once complained and had a smile all shift.

Chain Pub

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. Last time it was a brains pub but it is now a marstons. This time the rooms needed updating. The wine was not good. We tried the cheaper of the rose and white and they were disgusting. Food - where do I start, I had the "Bet Ever Pub Pie". I have to say it definitely was not. Wish I could upload a photo. Hardly any chips, one carrot and the pie was nothing special. I will not be returning to this pub. But to end the staff were brilliant and could not do anymore for us

Wonderful sea view room & so close to the beach. Very welcoming & helpful staff. Limited parking but manageable. The stairs to the rooms ( over the pub) are steep when carrying luggage up & down so not good for folk with any physical disabilities.

A hidden gem

We were greeted by the most friendly gentleman, who checked us in, offered to take our bags and showed us to our room. He asked if we would like a table for dinner and invited us to join in with the quiz. The food was delicious, the waiting staff knowledgeable, chatty and even the other customers were friendly too.

Excellent place to stay and relax

The rooms were spacious and clean and dog friendly. We stayed for one night and everything was perfect. Room food and the view of the sea. The staff were so attentive will be returning very soon

Beautiful view, spacious room with a sea view. Staff were fantastic, felt very welcome. Great food and comfy bed. The bathroom fan was quite noisy and I couldn't find a way to turn it off which was a bit annoying trying to sleep. Also the hairdryer needs replacing.
