Excellent guest house to relax after a full day of sightseeing, surrounded by art (paintings, authentic ceramic decor and antique furniture). Safe residential neighborhood where you can walk around a golf course. Spacious rooms. Friendly, attentive staff. Great parking. Great breakfast.

Det var tredje gången vi bodde på Welgemoed Guest House. De två första besöken var sammanlagt sju veckor, denna gång endast en natt inför resa till Europa. Jag uppskattar den fina inredningen, poolen och läget. Ett extra plus för en bra och säker parkering. En utmärkt bas för besök i Kapstaden och Stellenbpsch-trakten.

I suggest they fix the door in the room. Much as inside the house rooms gives that homely environment, however, it is important to give guest an opportunity to choose whether they want to stay in or out. Probably I could have been the last to check in, but given that i was staying for more than one night, the choice should have been brought into my attention. lastly, in general, hotels, guest houses and all have tendency not to inquire about bed size in particular mattress comfort, should it be firm or soft let alone that most keep old mattresses that have carried so many body sizes and conducted so many activities. I prefer firm mattress for medical reasons. But such a friendly old couple, very hands on, reasonable rates. Much appreciated.
