Wonderful stay

Really friendly staff, paid extra attention to make sure I was safe as a guest. The food in the cafe downstairs is simple but lovely. Make sure you have your coffee on the rooftop!

Loved the price for the location you're staying in. Unfortunately windows aren't that tight so if someone was yelling on the street in the middle of the night or partying you'd wake up. Nothing ear plugs can't fix though. Friendly staff and good food. Was fantastic!

A construction site!

Booked this place about 3 weeks before I left Ireland, when we arrived, with my friend, who travelled 2 days from the US West coast no less, we found a construction site. the hotel rep in charge arranged for us to stay at another hotel.......my complaint here is pretty obvious, how can this site, including the hotel owners, put rooms up for sale, that are non existent. Very underhanded indeed. My first time to write a hotel review like this.......hope its my last. Sure, you can have hiccups here and there travelling in various Countries, but this kind of behaviour is a no-no! Having said that, Cape Town is a great place, and I'd go back there again. Rant over.

Le moins biens de mon voyage

L hôtel est dans le centre avec un environnement qui n encourage pas a se balader après la tombee de la nuit. La chambre dont j ai hérité au 2 ème étage face a une rue bruyante et a un centre d embauche ou les braves gens font la queue et donc pas mal de bruit de 6 h du mat a 8h .donc pas vraiment un choix interessant et le moins bon de mon voyage.

Cool stay

I arrived late because of a train delay and was still nicely welcomed. Penthouse was great. Breakfast included was nice to start the day along with smiles from the day staff.

Weekend getaway

You'll do well to find better value in CT. Clean, comfortable and walking distance to most attractions. Good restaurant at GF level. Very impressed. I've stayed here many times and will stay again.

CT 7's get away

I've booked this Hotel 5 times. Great value, location is brilliant. At night, Long Street and Waterfront are lively. There are prowlers the locality but nothing the hotel can do about that. It's a great hotel, good value, goid breakfast and they go the extra mile. Do no expect 'views', a large comfortable room on walking distance to most attractions with good breakfast. If I had negatives, the lack of a suspended ceiling for esthetics does little to hear noise from shower above and piles of linen in stairwell looked unsightly but I'm guessing most folk use the lift. I'll definately stay again.

The intersection of Long and Castle isn't the safest, so I would advise against walking back to the hotel at too late an hour; grab a cab, even if it's just a few blocks. Room 403 has a ventilation issue: cigarette smoke from a lower unit was getting into our room. Our bathroom sink and shower drain weren't draining properly, but that only happened on our last night and didn't affect our visit.
