"On arrival in Cape Town after a long road trip from Port Elizabeth, we were greeted with a rather unfriendly comment about not being rugby fans as we arrived during the last five minutes of a rugby game. Our booking stated that our reservation was 'bed and breakfast'. During the course of the first morning, after we already had breakfast, the owner came to our room stating that our reservation did not include breakfast upon which we referred her to our booking confirmation. She stated that there...

"The location of the property was great. Just a short and direct walk down to the beach. Proximity to restaurants, cafes and other places to eat was very convenient. The staff and food were excellent, they always went above and beyond to help with ideas of what to do. As a solo traveller this was very helpful. I can say enough about the breakfast and snacks provided each day, another thing that just made the day more easy. The house is older with character, creaks and you can hear guests moving...

"The property was comfortable enough with friendly staff. Parking offered with electric security gate.
Only wish the staff would advise noisy patrons to be cognisant of others by not making noise in the early hours of the morning when some of us are still resting (I struggle to sleep as is). Nothing as annoying as people screaming or talking loud or children crying non-stop at 3am or 4am in the morning. It's unacceptable!"

"The chalet was great with amazing view. The hotel really lives by its name. Due to the distance between the chalets and the reception, would have been great to have a phone in the chalet. "

"De havde dobbelbooket værelse og påstod de intet havde med hotels.com at gøre. Så jeg blev smidt ud selvom at jeg havde betalt.. Senere fik jeg dog pengene tilbage af hotels.com.."

"Everything about this hotel is first class. The staff are amazing, the rooms are spacious and spotless, the food is fantastic with the breakfast having so many choices.
This hotel made our stay so memorable and enjoyable.
If anyone is visiting Cape Town, this hotel is by far the best
Best hotel I have ever stayed in 👏👏👏"
"Absolutely perfect location for walking around the waterfront. Surrounded by shops and restaurants. Staff were warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much. Our room was the junior suite with balcony. Had everything we needed and more. Didn’t receive the daily bottle of wine with Expedia perks but no matter. We loved our stay and will definitely stay again."
"Beautiful, clean, lovely staff. Careful of the seagulls if eating breakfast outside, and the bar closes at 10.30pm so order ahead if you want anything after being out for dinner etc."
"Location was unbeatable. The hotel is directly connected to the mall and also within walking distance of the Oranjezicht City Farm Market, which made getting around incredibly convenient. The whole surrounding vicinity felt safe, and the views from the hotel were stunning. With Table Mountain in the background, we even caught a rainbow while having breakfast by the window overlooking the wharf — such a memorable way to start the morning.
If I were to nitpick, I would suggest going down earlier for breakfast if you want to enjoy the spread at its freshest. Perhaps because we were there on weekdays and turnover was lower, some items felt like they had been sitting out for a little while when we went later in the morning. Nothing major, but worth keeping in mind.
The room itself was comfortable and well appointed, and we particularly appreciated how easy the hotel made our stay. Between the waterfront location, the views and the convenience of having the mall right next door, it was a very easy base for exploring Cape Town without feeling removed from the city.
Overall, I would happily stay here again, particularly for a first visit to Cape Town. The location really is the standout — convenient, scenic and in an area where we felt comfortable walking around."
