Must be the Best Guest House in Gordon’s Bay
This is our 4th stay at Blue Horizon and never fails in excellence. Mrs. McFarlane delivers personal and caring attention to her guests. Rooms spacious, clean and comfortable in addition full excellent breakfast.

you MUST stay here!!!!
do not hesitate ... Room #7 ... king bed, partial kitchen and panoramic view of the city/water .. absolutely beautiful. Own sitting area which we much appreciated and away from noise from the pool. Karen was the ultimate host .. we absolutely loved her and would definitely stay here again!!

Great hotel. Superior staff and owner.
Good, safe location away from city center. Karen was outstanding and very helpful to make sure our family with 3 children were comfortable and well taken care of on our short trip from the US. She's very helpful, organized, and caring! Highly recommend if looking to stay away from the city.

Wonderful stay at Blue Horizon guest house!
We highly recommend this guest house. The owner (Karen) went out of her way to be accommodating, nothing was too much bother, we stayed there for 11 nights. The breakfast was great and set you up for the day, Karen was there to greet you every morning for breakfast, she was always smiling and happy and eager to ensure you were happy with your stay! Thoroughly recommend this place :)

Absolutely fantastic!
The Blue Horizon Guest House was outstanding. The proprietor was so helpful and kind. We had to leave early on an excursion one morning and she packed us a great 'take away' breakfast since we left to early to get our sit down breakfast. The rooms were positively lovely with fabulous bathrooms and a supremely comfortable bed. The complex was very quiet and had a wonderful 'ambiance'. It is about a 30-40 minute drive outside of Capetown proper called Gordon's Bay, so you will need a car to stay there. The coast line from Capetown towards the East is really beautiful as is the countryside inland. I would stay there again if I'm ever in Capetown. Loved it!

Exceptional Bed and Breakfast Guest House with very comfortable and appointed rooms. Karen is a great host and very helpful allowing us to store our bicycles in her garage. Great view from the Guest House of Table Mountain and the Cape peninsula

My friend and I spent 5 days in Cape Town in the Blue Horizon Guest House and I must say that I wouldn't change it for any 5 star hotel. Karen makes you feel at home and always has a smile on her face. I recommend it 100%.

Karen, our host could not be more helpful. She gave us tips of things to do in the area and recommended several restaurants to try in Gordon's Bay. The breakfast was really great and the mountain views from the front of our room was outstanding. If you stay at this guest house, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. The family dog is also a friendly addition to the stay...

Chicke Unterkunft mit schönem Blick auf die Bucht
Unterkunft befindet sich in einer eher wohlhabenden Lage mit schönem Blick auf die Bucht. Die Stadt erreicht man nur mit dem Auto. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich, die Zimmer mit hohem Standard, ebenso die Poollandschaft und der Garten. Frisches Frühstück mit grosser Auswahl an Eierspeisen.

Gute Unterkunft
Wir hatten durch die Bilder hier auf Expedia eine sehr große Erwartung, zumal es der Abschluss unserer Südafrika-Reise sein sollte. Als wir dann ankamen, wurden unsere Erwartungen nicht ganz erfüllt. Die Unterkunft ist gut, aber nicht überragend. Wir hatten mit unserem Zimmer wahrscheinlich noch Glück (Nummer 1), weil wir einen Teil des Blickes, der beworben wird, auch tatsächlich hatten. Den schönsten Blick, der den Fotos entspricht, hat man sicherlich oben aus den Zimmern mit Balkon, die sind aber leider privat.... und wenn man Pech hat, liegt das Zimmer weiter hinten raus und man hat gar keinen Blick bzw. eher einen Blick aufs Hinterland und nicht Richtung Meer. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Wie gesagt, alles gut, aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Der Pool ist mini und eher Deko ;-), eine etwas größere Badewanne. Aber das war uns nicht wichtig, wir waren sowieso mehr in der Gegend unterwegs und das Wetter war nicht so heiß.

Besonders hat uns die Lage gefallen , einen tollen Rundblick auf Berge und Bucht . Das Eckzimmer mit Balkon ist erstklassig eingerichtet mit grossen Panoramafenstern, haben einen grandiosen Sonnenuntergang erlebt .

Sehr schönes Guesthouse mit schönem Ausblick
Wir verbrachten über den Jahreswechsel 2015/2016 10 Tage in diesem wunderschönen Guesthouse. Das Guesthouse ist sehr gut ausgestattet mit eigenem kleinen Pool und komfortablen, sehr geschmackvoll ausgestatteten Zimmern. Der Service war großartig- die Eigentümerin hat uns immer mit tollen Tipps unterstützt und versucht uns jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Auch die Bediensteten waren alle sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und hatte eine Terrasse mit Blick über False Bay bis zum Tafelberg. Wir können das Guesthouse uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Sehr gutes Haus
Haus liegt am Hang in Gordons Bay. Genialer Blick über die False Bay bis nach Kapstadt. Ruhige Lage, nur der Wind ist zu hören. Zimmer sehr geräumig und modern eingerichtet. Bad gleich gut. Frühstück ist mehr als ausreichend. Wir waren 7 Tage im Blue Horizon und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Reservierungen (Golf und Restaurant) wurden von Managerin Karen super erledigt. Wenn Gordons Bay, dann nur das Blue Horizon! Vielen Dank an Karen und ihr Team, Andrea &Wolfgang

Efter viss möda hittade vi detta B+B. För att få denna utsikten över havet mot Kaphalvön bör man välja rummen med balkong. Vår värdinna Karen var mycket älskvärd och tillmötesgående och serverade oss en härlig frukost.

Tolles Guesthouse und super Gastgeber
Fantastischer Aufenthalt mit sehr liebevollen Gastgebern. Karen war hilfsbereit und hat mir schon vor Anreise einen herzlichen Empfang bereitet. Sie hat mich dezent darauf hingewiesen das Gordons Bay ca. 45 min von Kapstadt entfernt ist, aber dafür für diverse Ausflüge super gelegen ist. Karen war zudem sehr beim Frühstück sehr flexibel, da ich sehr früh golfen war, hatte Sie mir ein tolles Lunchpaket zusammen gestellt. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat eine super Auswahl und kann mit jedem Hotel mithalten. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend gross für einen Kurzaufenthalt perfekt. Zimmer mit Blick auf den Ozean ist natürlich das Beste. Man braucht auf jeden Fall ein Auto. Supermärkte und tolles Restaurants hat es in Gordons Bay viele, so dass man keine Weltreise machen muss. Tipps bekommt man ebenfalls bei Karen inkl. Wegbeschreibung.
