"Very comfortable bed and linens. Bathroom towels very thin.
Appreciated the quaint elevator.
Main draw back is the food…
Over priced. $50 for small bowl of chowder, fish and chips and a beer.
Limited beer choice. French fries were soggy and tasteless. Chowder very disappointing for Newfoundland. Tiny cubed pieces of mostly potato and onion - served lukewarm. Many menu items not available.
Breakfast ok. Ordered eggs and bacon without hash browns but was given the hashbrowns beacause it was cheaper to order that way..?? Cheaper to serve uneaten hashbrowns to be discarded than just leave them off the plate?
I would stay here again for the convenience for the ferry and the comfortable room. Will try the other hotel for evening meal."
