We have stayed here multiple times over the past few years on our way to and from our home in the OBX. It’s not easy to find accommodations that accept 2 dogs for an overnight stop. Our stays were always adequate in the past; rooms clean and comfortable . We usually have a cooler of food and appreciate the kitchenette to prepare dinner and breakfast as we don’t leave our dogs alone in motels to go out to eat. This time we were pleasantly surprised by the renovations. New fridge, carpet removed and new vinyl or laminate flooring .

I thought frint desk lady could have been friendlier. She was quite businesslike at check in, but was quite helpful when asked for help with the heating system. Good stay overall.

We stayed one night while visiting Cape Charles. The room mad very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was nice, although we didn’t cook, we used the fridge and sink. Large bathroom with fluffy towels. The bed was comfy and we got a good nights sleep. It is an easy drive to both Cape Charles and Kiptopeke. Will definitely stay again on our next trip to CC.

Need some upgrades! Ceiling fans needs to be cleaned and kitchen cabinets inside. But understand that they allow pets so may not to do much with flooring.

Shore stay
Our stay was good. We booked it and it was ready. The rooms are spacious plus it has a kitchen thats great. I would surely make future reservations.

The bed sheets were so worn out they were about to fall apart. The only convenience was a kitchen in the unit. At least the room was clean!

It was good for the price. Large room and comfortable beds. Nice shower and location easy to find on main highway. Maid missed empty bottle and m&m’s behind nite stand and left the door unlocked/open with tv on. Check in was quick and easy.

After we. Checked in they were spraying the entire front of the building,consequently we could Not empty the car with bags bad start after traveling six hours. An hour later we could start settling down.

Didn’t like smoke alarm hanging by a wire from ceiling. Video receptionist was unique but not pleasant. At checkout its volume almost blew me out of room.

If you are booking one day prior or morning of through Expedia, I'd recommend that you call the Shore Stays directly to make sure they've received or downloaded the Expedia booking. This property reminds me of the motels of my youth. It's two floors, no elevator (that I'm aware of). I arrived for one night in mid-May. The fields around the hotel were beautiful in winter wheat. My 2nd floor room was large, quiet and I slept soundly. The kitchenette is perfectly adequate, but not exceptional. My ice maker wasn't working.

The property was nice and enjoyed the field and birds around the property. The room was nice as well. My only suggestion would be to install blackout curtains on front windows of the unit because the porch lights are really bright and of course when the sun comes up it’s harder to sleep.

Great stay for a night or more, having a working kitchen and table is nice. Room was clean and allowed dogs in the “pet friendly “ rooms (for another $25 that wasn’t mentioned on Travelocity). Sting Rays across the street doesn’t look like much but has great food. Only one suggestion would be to have black-out curtains in the room as the lights are on all night outside lighting up the room. No curtains just mini-blinds are provided.
