"I had a lovely weeknd here. You need to drive 15 minutes into la fortuna but it was worth it for the local culture and the birds!"

"We had to change last minute and the Villas Macadamia had a casita. Turned out to be the best place we have stayed. Plenty of space for the whole family, close to town and quiet. "

"Belle propriété avec bungalows tout neufs et très mignons. On a même vu un paresseux dans un arbre. Juste à côté de frog's paradise donc parfait pour la visite de nuit, on peut y aller à pied. Repas et petits déjeuners très bons. Les propriétaires sont charmants et toujours prêts à rendre service."

"We loved our stay at Nayari Villas! The villa was beautiful, even better than the pictures. The kids had a lot of fun in the pool. We had a beautiful view of the Arenal volcano. After a couple of days of travelling, I was happy to be able to do some laundry. The rooms were nice and we enjoyed the extra blankets since we like sleeping with heavy blankets. The beds were a bit firm (we prefer extra soft mattresses), but we still slept very well. We used the kitchen to make a homemade meal one...

"I recently stayed 3 nights at Villa Floresta Monteverde, and it was a fantastic experience. The villa is located in a very quiet area, offering complete privacy—you don’t notice the neighbors at all. "Villa Golondrina is in a lovely location, with great views. It was clean and comfortable, with modern conveniences. The hosts left a nice collection of eggs, bread, etc. Carlos was great to work with. The signage to the location once we got close to San Luis was quite good. Lots of birds in the yard, on neighborhood roads, and on the trail to the river. The one potential drawback is that it is more in San Luis than in Monte Verde, and the road can be rough.
