"Birthday celebration for niece. Family oriented vacation spot but very long to get there from San Jose airport. The breakfast was delicious with vegan options such as fresh fruits, veggies and rice & beans. Internet was good however our TV never worked. The Calypsos night was fantastic."

"The Good: Breakfast was great and included. The staff was great and helpful. Very beautiful & quiet property The Bad: Only a glass wall on the shower so water got all over the floor everytime we showered. Super small trashcans and I say this because it rained alot so they had breakfast brought to the room but nowhere to throw the containers away and they don't come back to get the waste. We had to walk through the lobby to access the trash at the front. Please replace the rugs placed in front the smaller room beds. Ours was flipped over to the tag side and when I flipped it over I understood why. The shower had visible stains and hair in it. Overall the stay was good."

"The breakfast is so good, take advantage of it. Bottle Water is expensive all over the area so I understand not getting constant free water. Take the water pitcher from your room down to the restaurant or bar and they will fill it for you with filtered water."

"La playa está cruzando la calle, el lugar está limpio y es seguro. El personal fue muy amable y el desayuno es delicioso. El pan y la mermelada son impresionantes. Un lugar recomendado para pasar un par de noches cerca de todo en Puerto Viejo."

"The grounds are expansive and absolutely beautiful. We saw monkeys, giant green macaws and toucans on the property. The location - between Playa Cocles and Playa Chiquita - is perfect. Both restaurants on the property were great - we especially loved the cocktails and ceviche at Spice House. We stayed in a two-story family villa. There was plenty of room for 3 teenaged boys and 2 adults. The bedrooms were air-conditioned and the downstairs was cool and comfortable with just the windows and fans. The staff was courteous and the breakfast delivered to our room each day was such a treat! Highly recommend this hotel to families. It would also be comfortable for seniors since there are first floor rooms and the grounds are flat and easy to get around. We loved it."
