"Our stay was truly awesome. We stayed in the Sunset Villa...It was exceptional...Everything about the Villa was exactly as seen on the website. The greenery was so luscious. The views were Majestic. Very quaint and intimate location. Very romantic too. The pool was well maintained and cleaned everyday. Breakfast was delicious and the staff catered to our everyday need. The lunch and dinner menu was decent. Nothing special...but sufficient. There are gym facilities there..no treadmill..but you can manage to get some type of workout. Also, you have to take stairs everyday for breakfast or to get to the main office. They were very steep and no guard rails...They are definitely safety hazard. Other that, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves."

"The view from the property is amazing. The rooms were spacious and clean. We stayed at a 2BR room - both bedrooms had an AC so it was nice to have cool rooms during the hot and humid nights. There are many birds in the area - I saw the most colorful Tucans there. We also saw some wild monkeys. The property is up on the hill - you'd need a decent car with a good traction, ideally 4WD as parts of the uphill road is not paved. There's no big sign for the property from the main road, so if you're not paying attention, you'd miss the turn. (As we did several times!) The restaurant on the property is very nice, but the last order is 6:30pm, which you should note if you're arriving late. But there are plenty other restaurants in the area that are open late. The breakfast is served after 7:30pm. We had to leave earlier to catch some early morning activities - we asked the hotel about the breakfast box they offered on their brochure, but the person I spoke to didn't know what it was and we simply skipped breakfast on those days. If you're leaving early, you need to plan accordingly. The food they offered was very good - their coffee was particularly good! Everyone at the hotel was very nice and helpful. It was very quiet and peaceful at night - no parties while we were there. The maintain a very clean pool which my family enjoyed. There's a wildlife sanctuary near the hotel - it's only a 2-min walk up the hill. I highly recommend if you're staying at this hotel."

"No TV in room, power goes out everyday, no A/C in a very hot/humid town. The walk from reception/restaurant to any of the 5 casitas is brutal! Must be in very good shape! They should provide golf carts for every trip up and down that steep hill! The view was great and the staff very kind though. Breakfast wasn’t too impressive either."

"The view was amazing and staff were very friendly. I did not realize that the rooms did not have A/C, so things were hot the first night (reception closed at 8:00), but they were able to get me another fan the second night l, which made things better. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay which included access to a local swimming hole which was very refreshing. The restaurant was the most expensive meal we had in Costa Rica and to be honest, the food was not bad, but not good. Definitely not worth the money spent. We found food more reasonably priced and better tasting outside the resort. I would strongly recommend this site if you want great views, friendly staff, the feeling of being alone, and don’t mind no AC."
