"Exceptional views from this property.
The room was for 4. It had a rustic farm house vibe.
Unfortunately there was mold in the bathroom and a nest of spiders in the beams above the bed (which my husband was happy to sleep under - so we ignored).
There is no noise insulation between floors and you can hear other guests above you, but everyone was respectful and noise minimal.
The spare blankets in the cupboard needed a wash and were unusable. Otherwise room was clean and comfortable.
The infinity pool was great and generally quiet creating a relaxing atmosphere.
You need a car if you stay in one of the annexes otherwise you would have to walk up a hill.
We had access to a balcony and a common area. The kitchen was accessible but you are not allowed to use unless you book an apartment.)
Breakfast was very good and the terrace is amazing.
We only had interaction with two staff members. One was lovely, friendly and helpful. The other was the complete opposite, which ruined some of the shine.
Overall lovely place to stay, fantastic grounds and we will definitely try and visit again!"
"This was simply an outstanding experience. We loved the property from start to finish. The views are simply breathtaking and pretty much unbelievable from the pool, restaurant and the drive throughout the area. My daughter kept joking that it was a giant green screen :). Our dinner at the restaurant was also an amazing experience. The staff were all very pleasant, especially the young lady at the front desk. One of our family members fell ill and she was very attentive helping us in any way she could. The only disappointment was not being able to take advantage of the spa services. We didn’t book ahead of time and therefore didn’t know they’re only available after 3 pm on weekdays, which by the time we found out did not work with our other plans already scheduled. We will definitely come back to this paradise and spend more time here!"
"Our stay at Hotel Certaldo could not have been better. The staff were exceptional and enhanced our stay. We loved the breakfast of a wide variety of options & our dinner was amazing. We loved walking to town, rode the funicular for the spectacular view & then returning to our hotel to cool off in the pool. If you want a perfect blend of relaxing in beauty and exploring a sweet town, Hotel Certaldo is your choice."
"We were a group of 10 who just returned from a 4 night stay at this beautiful hotel. It exceeded our groups expectations. It is quaint, in a beautiful setting. The staff was excellent, accommodating any request that was made. Restaurant is very good, included breakfast was great, many choices. We enjoyed the pool and the bar servers at the pool were excellent. Overall a wonderful stay and would highly recommend. "
"Amazing place. Only 10 min car drive from Porta Romana but far away from city noise. Huge property on a hill with beautiful views of the valleys and olive orchards. Ideal place to relax and enjoy Tuscan sun by a beautiful pool. Great breakfast buffet and restaurant. "
