Right in town and easy to get to key sights especially the Cathedral. Hosts were very pleasant and breakfast was delicious, Near bus and train stations.

とてもよい宿でした。ロケーションもいいところです。唯一、３階の部屋だったので、重い荷物を上げたり下げたりは大変です。ただしこのホテルのオーナーが、手伝ってくれます。それとチェックインタイムしか人がいないことがあるらしく、荷物をあらかじめ預かってもらうには、前もって連絡をしておいたほうがよいです。（小生もそうしました）。ベッドアンドブレックファーストで豪華ホテルではないですが、とても落ち着いていて、気に入りました。

An outstanding find in Canterbury. The owner, Adrian, is the perfect host and nothing is too much trouble. Beautiful hotel, beautiful room and amazing breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Excellent location within walled city, short walk to Canterbury Cathedral & city sites. Parking just a block away from hotel for nominal fee. Room was quiet, breakfast was excellent & brought to your table. Be prepared for stairs as there is no lift. Our host, Adrian, was very helpful, cheerful & entertaining. Very pleasant stay & would recommend without hesitation,

Lovely warm welcome!

I stayed at the White House for a weekend away and it was WONDERFUL! Adrian could not have been more welcome if he tried. The room was comfortable, with tea and hot chocolate provided. And the cooked breakfast was lovely, homemade and high quality. The location was really central - close to the train station, Cathedral and vibrant part of town - but also on a quiet side street, guaranteeing good sleep! I would stay here again, and would recommend the White House to anyone visiting Canterbury. Thank you to Adrian for making it so special.

Nice place

Very nice place, a fews minutes walk from the cathedral. Very relaxing, no noises even if very close to the town centre. Adrian is very helpfull and gives good advises. The breakfast could a bit improved (toasts have to be ordered and not available on the buffet) but it's ok.

The White House is a B&B. I failed to catch that salient point when booking. So when I arrived at 8:00 AM, I was taken aback to hear the owner bark at me to state my business. Frankly, I found his manner curiously amusing (I was reminded of John Cleese in Fawlty Towers). My subsequent encounter did not dispel that impression. The room was clean; the bath clean and serviceable. Didn't stay for the breakfast. Oh well.

Hidden gem

Fantastic location-2 minute walk from the High Street. Lovely owner who couldn't do enough for you. Beautiful old house. Would definitively recommend this hotel and hope to be able to visit again soon.

A few days in Kent

We used Canterbury as a base to see a few of the sites of Kent and stayed in this up market B&B. The owner was really nice and chatty and friendly . The room had good facilities and was really clean. So absolutely no complaints from us as the owner could do nothing about the pigeon making strange snoring noises outside of our bedroom window. I would healthily recommend to anybody looking to stay in Canterbury. The B&B is close to both railway stations and the city centre.

Great place for a weekend away

Clean and well designed rooms in a lovely listed building right in the heart of Canterbury, but tucked away enough that it was quiet through the night. Lovely breakfast and attentive service.

A little oasis in the heart of the city

A lovely, boutique B&B with excellent hosts and great attention to detail, which makes your stay really special. It’s easy to find, and parking isn’t an issue, there is a discounted fee available for 24hours in a car park a stone’s throw from the hotel. Everything is scrupulously clean and well-appointed, whatever you might need is close to hand and in less than a minute you are in the middle of the city. The breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked to order. We will definitely return.

Lovely B&B in a great location

We had a nice stay at this lovely and quiet B&B. The breakfasts were delicious and Adrian is a personable and attentive host. The room was small but adequate and the bed very comfortable. Nice new bathroom. The White House is within easy walking distance of all Canterbury's main attractions.

Wonderful stay at The White House

My friend and I booked this B&B as we wanted somewhere central in Canterbury with character. The White House didn't disappoint! We had a very warm welcome from Adrian who showed us to our lovely room and gave helpful suggestions of some nice pubs to visit. Whilst the B&B was only a stones throw from the Main Street, it was very quiet. Breakfast in the morning was very nice and Adrian was more than happy to accommodate our breakfast request which wasn't 'on the menu', and it was delicious. I accidently left an item in my room upon departure and Adrain was very quick to contact me to ensure its safe return. I would highly recommend a stay here!
