1. Convento do Espinheiro, Historic Hotel & Spa

Évora

"The hotel is lovely, a little outside of Evora ($10 Uber each way, taxi even more), but the grounds are beautiful and their renovation of a convent into a hotel was well done; but some rooms are 300 steps from the center of the hotel. The pool was beautiful and very refreshing. Our car and driver didn't show to drive us to Porto and the Concierge leapt into service, getting us another driver with a large car to carry 4 people with luggage very comfortably at a slightly lower price than we would...

6. Hotel Convento de São Paulo

Redondo

"Annex rooms are comfortable, with good countryside views when one sits outside. Air conditioning aids good sleep & one can park the car outside the room close by. EV charging points for 2 cars are available & one pays per minute charged, which encourages swift change to allow other ev owners to charge. Breakfast buffet is good, with a decent variety. Coffee & orange juice could be improved. Service is excellent and most helpful. There are hiking possibilities around the convent, with marked...

7. L’AND Vineyards – Relais & Châteaux

Montemor-o-Novo

"Staying at L’AND was one of the highlights of our Portugal vacation. The property is absolutely stunning, relaxing and luxurious. We stayed in one of the Lake View suites and it was extremely spacious and clean. There was a customized bottle of wine and two straw hats placed in our room before arriving which I thought was very thoughtful and sweet. I loved the window above the bed that we could see the stars from and how every room had a private fire pit that could be lit by a staff member on...
