Hotel Octopus

"I had an amazing stay at Hotel Octopus. Simple room but has everything you need for the price. Bed is comfortable, rooms are cleaned daily, big walk in shower with great water pressure. There is no wardrobe but there is a rack with hangers. Breakfast at the cafe downstairs is absolutely delicious and so reasonably priced, staff are also very friendly. Best part of it all is the location! Right at the main part of Can Picafort and literally steps from the beach and all the restaurants. I saw some reviews regarding noise but that was not what I had during my stay at all, no noises at night, very quiet. I would recommend 100% and will come back!"

"Enjoyable stay with a few quibbles. The pool was always very clean, and the lifeguard was helpful when we lost some googles at the bottom of the pool. We only used the pool in the hotel itself. It was quieter than the one across the road by the lounge for some reason. I was a bit disappointed with the opening hours of the pools - you couldn't have a swim before breakfast, for example. The rooms are small - I think we've had a bigger room in an airport hotel. There wasn't room for a bedside table on one side. They do have a nice feel though - floor to ceiling and full width windows, and the balcony was excellent - spacious with a pleasing view of the pool and general surrounds. The air conditioning was excellent. The breakfast was good - plenty of variety, enough cooked things to assemble a full English, some really good bread, as well as all the things you'd expect of a continental breakfast. A bit less water in the orange juice would have been good. I had a flat white from the coffee machine. Both decaf and normal were enjoyable. The basics - booking taxis and restaurants were excellent. Also check-in and out were both quick and efficient. The staff had less local knowledge than I hoped: they didn't know the local Parc Natural de s'Albufera was closed for repairs for example,"

"Staff was excellent and helpful, the manager was extremely accommodating with our stay and explaining things to us. The bar tender manager Jesus was exceptionally helpful along with his staff. Food was excellent and fresh daily. The beach access is superb and beautiful views and pool. We will definitely come to this place again for our group family vacation’s. We the MATA’s appreciate each and everyone at the Grupotel Picafort. Thank you for an exceptional stay!"

"The property was in a great location next to the beach where you can swim & snorkel off. The hotel lobby and bar was nice and spacious. Restaurant staff were always welcoming and smiling. Areas for improvement were the hotel linen (the duvet felt like rough paper) & all the board games had missing pieces so none was playable."

"We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The biggest issue was that the lift kept breaking down during our stay, and we had to use the stairs to reach the fourth floor. This was especially difficult because my husband has a disability. We hope the hotel addresses this issue as it is essential for guests with mobility needs. On a positive note, all the staff were friendly, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The bar staff deserve a special mention for their excellent service and for making the best mojitos! Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful sea view. The hotel’s location is also excellent, with plenty of shops and restaurants just a short walk away. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. There wasn’t much variety, and there were no vegan or vegetarian options available. The juice from the drinks dispenser was always warm instead of chilled, and the water dispenser appeared to provide tap water, which we found unpleasant to drink. Overall, the wonderful staff, clean rooms, and great location made our stay enjoyable in many ways. However, the lift problems and the quality and variety of the food let the hotel down. If these issues were improved, especially the food, we would definitely consider coming back."

"I spent 4 days at Tonga Tower Hotel with my friend, and we had a wonderful stay. It's a great hotel, and I would definitely come back again. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, cleaned every day, and the towels were changed daily. The food was very good and varied, with plenty of options, so everyone can find something they like. The evening entertainment wasn't anything special, but that wasn't important to us. There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool, although if you want to be sure to get one, it's best to arrive shortly after the pool opens, around 8:00–8:30 a.m. A nice bonus is the dinner at the Sky Bar. However, you need to stay at least 3 nights to be eligible, and it must be booked in advance. The drinks included in the all-inclusive package are fairly standard, as in most hotels. If you want a higher-quality cocktail, you'll need to pay extra. Overall, Tonga Tower Hotel is a very nice hotel with a good standard, excellent food, and friendly staff. I would happily recommend it and would definitely stay there again."
