"We stayed for two days in this lovely place Sand in Taufers. Its pretty small place, just some bars and restaurants are available but you're so close to the mountains so it was perfect for our hiking trip. The hotel itself looks on the webpage pretty cool and totally new. We booked a superior suite (€ 460 for two nights) and honestly we were more than disappointed regarding the room. "What a wonderful find this family hotel was. The Owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and we loved our spacious room. The breakfast and dinner were both one of the best we experienced in Europe and the special touches were above expectations. Would love to come back!"

"Beautiful property in a wonderful location with very helpful and kind staff. I wish we had picked a better room as our view was the parking lot, but can’t beat the amenities! Definitely recommend paying a little extra for a balcony with view room. 😀 Dinner wasn’t included in Expedia reservation so it’s an additional 35 euro pp for 4 courses. They save the table for the duration of your stay - service is phenomenal. "

It is rated high because of pool, gym but has no food, is remote (only car), rooms are hostel type with limited lighting and showers you have to bend and crouch to take a shower. The manager was pleasant and breakfast was Ok but included"
