Cozy, comfortable, relaxing and “oh - what a view” Even in the winter this is a great place to stay.

The room was clean and modern but the view and access to the ocean was what I appreciated the most. The walk to oyster river estuary along the ocean and watching eagles fight behind the hotel while having coffee were the highlights.

Great for fishing and access to Strathcona Provincial Park but limited otherwise. At 4 pm on a Monday we couldn’t find a coffee place open. Nice seaside views but limited places to sit outside and enjoy them apart from park benches. A bit too sleepy
Excellent choice of beers and food at the Beach Fire brewery
Lots to do in the area, and planty of shops if that is what you enjoy.
Hotel was very close to the river so in the park across the road it was lovely to sit and watch the ferry to Quadra Island depart.
