"The character of the castle is excellent. Christian toured me around the proper and is a superb concierge. The room itself is lacking. It smells strongly of mildew. Carpeting is worn. Amenities like coffee and cookies need an update. The food at dinner was overly salted and the service declined during the dinner - strong start and a weak finish."

"A wonderful peaceful 3-day stop staying in the superior lodge room. The room itself comprised a spacious living area and a similarly large bedroom set a short walk from the castle itself. "Clean, nice rooms. Parking is in the castle pay lot which was a bit confusing when first arriving, but weekends are free to park there. The restaurant next door offers a 15% discount for staying at the rooms and the firecastle café offers a 10% discount and makes the most delicious pastries! We would definitely stay again!"

Positiv ist der kostenfreie Gästeparkplatz beim Hotel. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, jedoch könnte dem Hotel eine Auffrischung gut tun, nicht alles funktioniert mehr einwandfrei.
