"On first arriving was a bit disappointed with initial outlook but this was a wee surprise. Staff on checking in were very nice gave us directions to free parking at back of the hotel. Room was very clean and tidy bathroom was clean but for safety could do with a handle to get in and out of the shower maybe a nonslip mat in the bath and a bath mat to step out. The bar was well stocked and fairly reasonable priced, entertainment on Saturday was great amazing singer. Food at breakfast was good but...

"This is a traditional and recently refurbished characteristic hotel with beautiful grounds and it's clear that the staff working their enjoy it. The room was a superior deluxe room that was well maintained and comfortable, nice selection of bathroom amenities and fluffy towels. The only downside was the shower is over the bath and the side of the bath is quite high so anyone with limited mobility may struggle to get in. The bar had a decent selection of drinks however they don't make...

"The property was on the high street so close to everything. No parking at the hotel but 2 nearby pay and display carparks. Cost £5 for the day."

"The place is well located and that ends there. We arrived got shown the room and give the keys. No instructions at all. No big issue. Then we started to look around the room and realized it's not been cleaned for months. Unfortunately I cannot add smell to the review but it wasn't pleasant and full of dust. We found hair bands, used coffee package, loads of spiderwebs etc... and this is a space being used by different people... Absolutely disgusting. Thank God the bed sheets was clean. And then...

"Great town to base yourself we stayed there for 8 years so we know this . The guest house is beautiful back from the road so very peaceful. The hosts are so lovely and welcoming. The room we had was a small double and it was immaculate,clean and had everything you need . Breakfast was excellent and there was plenty to eat . You won’t be disappointed "
