"I'm usually okay with older historic hotels as long as they're kept up well. The linoleum flooring instantly showed how cheaply the room was redone. A lot of basic housekeeping was lacking. The toilet bowl had stains at the bottom, which I've never encountered in any hotels, a gross-looking coffee pot and ironing board, a stained anti-slip mat, and a TV screen covered in streaks.
