There are several pictures of the Diamond room that show that there is no door between the bedroom and the bathroom, but if privacy is of concern, we do have plenty of rooms with doors separating the two for your convenience. Glad you enjoyed your stay. We provide high-quality L'Occitane in-room amenities of body wash, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap. We find that most guests prefer a narrower selection of high-quality products than a wide range of inferior amenities. For the occasional guest requiring something additonal we do have other items available including body lotion and we could have found you cotton balls had you requested them. I presume this guest is confusing us with another stay since we are walking distance to restaurants and there is no wharf anywhere near that I am aware of.

So glad you enjoyed our charming 100+ year old property. The main road through town, which our place and most other lodging are adjacent to, does get busy in the mornings and afternoons. That said it is a two lane country highway and not a major interstate. I think the perception of noise is because the valley background is so low that even a little traffic is noticeable. We are sorry that your experience was not all we would have wished it to be. Regarding check-in, every morning we send a welcome text to all of our arriving guests and attempted to do the same for you to see if you needed any help and arrange check-in time with you. You did not provide a phone number so we left a late check-in note when you were not here by early evening. That note said to contact us if you needed anything. I am sorry that our chef did not provide toast as requested. We do not usually serve bread as part of our great seasonal wine country breakfast selection. On Saturday morning we had Homemade granola, homemade yoghurt, fresh and baked fruit from the farmer’s market, home-baked banana pecan chocolate chip muffins, vegetable frittata with squash blossoms and an accompanying heirloom tomato and stone fruit salad with diced feta, breakfast meats on the side and of course our fresh French press coffee, juices and Napa valley champagne. You did not inform us of any plumbing problem so we were of course not able to deal with it. My housekeeper informed me of the issue after you checked out. Rare blockages are usually because something has been flushed by guests that should not be flushed. You alluded to poor value. We understand Napa Valley, especially for a single night Labor Day weekend, is an expensive place to visit. However, our rates are very competitive and great value when compared to other similar establishments. You are not comparing us with similarly located properties in making your judgment. Again, we are sorry you did not have an enjoyable experience. We were at fault on the toast issue. That said, not providing a phone number and not letting us know of the plumbing problem is down to you and I think it is harsh to blame us but it’s your call how you want to see things. Presume you did not like something but hard to tell what from a zero word anonymous review! If you are going to take the time to damage me at least have the courtesy to say what you think I did wrong so I can address it. Most frequently poor reviews are people reserving through a hotel site and then being surprised we are a B&B and not a big hotel.
