The cabins were fabulous. But even better was the restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation, the food is beyond amazing! The steaks, they put Ruth’s Chris steakhouse to shame. They have indoor/outdoor seating with a lake view and live music. Amazing, we will be coming back!!

The staff, especially the lady grounds keeper, were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning and evening looking at the lake and drinking coffee and sipping the wine we had brought

It was a cozy cabin and the restaurant had a beautiful view of Norfolk lake. Cabins are a bit older and outdated but cute and cozy. Good price for a peaceful getaway.

Friendly staff checked is in inside the restaurant. The cabin was clean, comfy, and decorated adorably. Had all the utensils and appliances we needed in the kitchen. Beds were so comfortable! A friendly black cat greeted us outside the cabin. Overall, an excellent stay!! I’d also like to add La Torcia brick oven pizza place in Mountain Home was delicious!

Very clean cozy cabin. Well equipped kitchen. Bed was comfortable. Everything you need for a few days. While it did have a nice view of the lake, the lake was quite a distance (maybe 1/4 to 1/2 mile away). Overlooked a road that had quite noisy trucks during the day. It quieted down at night. Had a problem with the shower drain. They offered to move me to another cabin, but I didn't want to go through the hassle for just one night.

We stayed in the lakeview cabin! It was cozy & cute! The view of Norfork Lake was beautiful! We had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious! We would definitely stay here again!

I have been staying at Whispering Woods once a month on average for work over the last five years. I love these little cabins overlooking Norfork Lake. They are very cozy and comfortable. The onsite restaurant is a big plus and the staff are so kind and accommodating.

This place is just what you want and more than you expect. Quaint cabins, well equipped, clean, not too fancy. The entire property is maintained in a manner that reflects a lot of hard work. Sits atop a hill overlooking the lake. Great location for all the many outdoor attractions in the area. The restaurant is unbelievable. I had a sea bass entree that was a good as any fancy restaurant in NYC. And if you have a complaint (I didn't) the folks that own and operate it were both right there. There is zero risk in reserving a spot at Whispering Woods. Plan to eat dinner. Reserve a window table if you can.

Highly recommend. Wonderful stay.

This place was amazing. Quite little cabins in a wonderful setting. We paid for the lake view and would do it again without doubt. Watched the sun set over the lake. Had an amazing meal at their restaurant. Highly recommend.

This was our second time staying with Whispering Woods. The hot water was not working when we arrived and as we had a delayed flight into Little Rock, we did not arrive at our cabin until 1130 pm. There was no way to reach the staff until the next morning after ten AM. My wife was not happy with no hot water to shower with. I got a staff member who asked me if I had tried the trouble shooting list. There was no trouble shooting list in our cabin. She asked me if I could fix the problem, and as we were on the road visiting family, I could not do this. She asked me if I would like her to fix the problem; I said yes and the problem was fixed when we returned to the cabin that evening. My wife complained that the pots in the cabinet were not clean. We had a very nice view of Lake Norfolk from our back patio. The air conditioning worked well.

Beautiful location. Using a map on phone was not accurate location unless you put the complete address in. Difficult at night. “Wilderness Woods Cabins are very cute and the Grill sadly is only open for maybe lunch and dinner. Cabins are cute and comfortable and the Norfolk Lake and dining on the deck would be lovely in the Spring or fall.
