"Lynda's accomodation is designed for both form and function. There's enough seating area outside for every type of weather. When it's sunny you can sit in front of the house or lie in the grass, when there's rain you can huddle inside or sit under the canopy. We had some trouble finding the accomodation, so make sure you double check the address beforehand, but Lynda was a dear guiding us there and was always available for questions during the stay. "There were power cuts in the village which caused a multitude of problems for the staff but they went the extra mile and did everything they could to make all the guests as comfortable as possible. On that basis alone, we would highly recommend. "

"Difficult to assess as visited in early March, so very much out of season. No hot food on premises. Swimming pool cool (heating issues) on the two occasions we tried, Steam room and jacuzzi were OK, Sauna was out of action. Pool Showers out of action on first visit. Enjoyed the 9 hole pitch and putt. Staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed in the Manor House (a one bedroom apartment), rooms were spacious but real mix of quality of furnishings. Plenty of hot water and ample heating. Outside areas looking in need of work (uneven paving slabs etc)."

"Extremely pleasant and accommodating staff. Room was clean and warm as was the en-suite. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of various tea and coffee sachets available in addition to milks and sweeteners etc. Breakfast was freshly cooked to liking. Although I had no problem parking, the car park is small with limited street parking opposite, which potentially could be an issue during busy periods. Overall, staying at The Talbot was an excellent experience. "
